I don't know where all this january 21st shit comes from. last year it was the morning of the 22nd. doesn't mean they'll do it the same week this year.

last year it was also the week after mlk jr day. if they are following suit then that would make it the 28th this year. but we don't know if that's their plan at all. we don't know how they planned it last year, and we don't know if they will do it the same way this year.

i remember being very excited about the lineup announcement last year. i had just gotten off work (graveyard shift) and was just about to go to bed when i went to coachella.com. i instantly got a second wind. luckily i didn't have to work that night. i was too happy to sleep.

if it's going to be anything like last year, there'll be a presale for the coachella community members the weekend before the lineup is posted on the following monday.

1) Its not going to be released on MLK day

2) Its going to be early in the work week and NOT on the weekend.

Why do I think this? Its a good PR strategy to get maximum news coverage. More news outlets can pick it up and run stories for the rest of the work week.
