    Default No Talk Of Oasis

I am just watching "Planet Rock" on Fuse about Oasis and it got me thinking, aren't they do for a tour? Anyone know any info about them? They could be a cool Friday headliner

I picked them in the lineup pool a while back. They're currently mixing and mastering a new album which is set to be released in May/June, so they're a distinct possibility.

Those guys have played before...and frankly they suck.........No OASIS this year.

The only Oasis near Coachella this year will be the Cahuilla Indian Reservation in Palm Springs..

They're one of a very short list of acts who could conceivably headline this year: Oasis, R.E.M., No Doubt, Muse, Kanye West, Pearl Jam, anyone else? Coldplay? NIN? Smashing Pumpkins?

That's the problem with Oasis. Most people would "enjoy" it. I want the headliners to kick ass and Oasis would be merely enjoyable. Me, "Hey look...it's Oasis...hmm..maybe I should leave early so that I can get in line for the showers."

how could you consider a band "enjoyable" i.e. watch worthy, if you also consider getting in lines for the shower?

i'd hit the showers for a horrible band, not an enjoyable one.

    Oasis would rock!

When I was in Italy a few months back, I ducked into this downstairs dive bar off the street and they had this "famous" Oasis cover band playing that night. One of the real Oasis guys even stopped by to check them out one time (the pic was on the wall). Twas a special evening.

I loved Oasis first two albums but didn't like anything after that....I was there up front for their 2002 headlining performance....

I would welcome their return. When I saw them at Shoreline in 2005, I was on the lawn, and it was a great show. Since I tend to move from stage to stage, I rarely get up front for the headliners anyway, so their lack of stage presence is a non-issue for me.

wouldn't it be "AT&T presents Oasis" considering how often their song is played in those commercials?

saw them in san diego on that tour and it was pretty sad. after selling out l.a. they barely had 6000 for their show at coors. only the first couple sections were filled.

I wouldn't mind having Oasis there but they would be a very low priority for me. I enjoy Whats the Story, but most of the other stuff I have heard of theirs didn't impress me.

I think oasis would be a good headliner, they would definitely rock. They have good songs and they are all about the music when they aren't fighting and all they care about is true rock and roll and i respect that, they dont take crap from anyone or the media and they speak whats on their minds and they dont pretend to be something they are not like most bands today.

Too bad his inclusion knocks it out of supergroup status right off the bat.
