aphex's live sets at ATP sounded great from the clips I heard. Apparently, he plays a bunch of slower retro rave sounding tracks and works it up over the set into some crazy acid-y Aphex sounding tracks.

His set at the Warehouse in Manchester was a great surprise for most people.That was one of the hardest sets I've ever seen him play. Starting slowly with some breaks and hip hop for around 30 minutes, but then played a lot of breakcore and dnb which was mindblowing from what I've seen.

About the ATP ones, I'd say the last set was the better. Starting with 90s techno, acid, playing jungle beats most of the time, and closing with gabba. That really was a sick set.

I think that a US tour is highly unlikely at this point, so the only way he could play here is a one off show at a festival like Coachella, but still sounds kinda unlikely . If he doesn't come to the US this year, I'm traveling to Europe to see him.

I hear that I considered going to ATP then got a bunch of really expensive tickets so funding got too close. I think Coachella would be willing to give him enough money there is enough want and maybe after that he'd do a tour here. It happened with Daft Punk.

Hmm.. I'm not sure about that. He is not like Daft Punk in any way, and that might be a good reason why he doesn't tour the US. Most people here don't give a shit about him, but only for Daft Punk, Justice, etc. Besides, he is settling down a bit, and looks like he doesn't have much time to tour many places so often. The last european one was a surprise for everyone, as you could see.
