The lineup comes out and Green Day and REM are headlining?
Go trenchcoat on everyone
Boycott Sal's!
Cut yourself and see how long it takes to bleed out
Get front row for both shows
The lineup comes out and Green Day and REM are headlining?
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
Be fine with it as long as the rest of the lineup was good. It would be like Coachella this year: One headliner I wouldn't want to see, another I would catch for a little. It's all about the smaller acts.
For your health
Anyone who doesn't boycott Sal's sucks.
WOW!
There would have to be some really strong sub headliners/ secondary acts.
Guy add a third act since coach is 3 days.
I am coming all the way from chicago- so I would probably be holding out for the third headliner to be someone really huge,to make the trip out West.
Honestly- with the music festivals out here like lolla, vfest, vinefest, & pitchfork. I think I might take a pass on coach '08.
Wait where did greenday rumors get started?
I thought it was no doubt rumored to headline.
WOW! I am getting nervous now.

Both better than the Chili Peppers. I'll take it!
I would watch other bands.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!

I wouldn't mind REM as an outdoor stage headliner but not a main stage headliner!
Green Day and No Doubt!
Oh man, that would suck. I would have to watch other stages. I try to stick to music that is still relevant to the modern world.
If they did turn out to be headliners I would have faith that there would plenty of other stuff to watch on other stages! There always is! Coachella hasn't let me down yet.
???
im thinking the trenchcoat bit has to do with the supposed trenchcoat mafia. green day/REM headlining=columbine/trenchcoat
lets go bowling was my play on the movie "bowling for columbine." also a band.
im not gonna lie. i was in love with No Doubt cause of Gwen Stefani. shes so fucken sexy and brilliant. i kinda can see them headlining, but i dont know. i mean they do have a big following here in socal. im still hoping for my specific wants in between. ughhh the knife........ and asobi seksu
greenday yuck.......
je suis un extraterrestre
Would you stand up and walk out on Green Day...
You are insane. So you put R.E.M. on par with the Lemonheads who haven't had a hit in 15 years!
I'll say it again. You are insane.
How is Green Day not relevant? I guess that dismisses every reunion as well since whatever band reunites certainly isn't relevant.Green Day and No Doubt!

You are comparing that to the Lemonheads?? They went on at like 1 pm. I wouldn't put R.E.M. on that early.
I love the band! And they would be fine on the main stage. I just don't think they would have a huge impact as an end of the day headliner. That's all I am saying!
I used to be a huge fan of Green Day. When I first heard them back in the look out days I found them to quite revolutionary. As time evolved and my taste in music changed and by the time they had major label success I had moved on to other generes of music.
Lots of bands have this problem (at least to me) where they start out revolutionary and then end up in a fixed pattern and rarely experiment or take chances.
There are certain artists out there who seem to always be able to re invent themselves (eg. David Bowie) and stay interesting even as the years progress.
Plus, Green Day will bring more Kroq types.
1. What's wrong with R.E.M.?
2. The main stage SUXXXXX anyways! You'll have way more fun with me. Intimate fun.
Hi! I'm Outdoor Theatre! You might remember me from such performances as Arcade Fire, At the Drive-in, Broken Social Scene, Jarvis Cocker, DJ Shadow, Mogwai, Sonic Youth, the Swell Season, and Underworld.
Did you read my response?? Nothing is wrong with R.E.M.
I think they are fantastic.
Amen. Neither one seem a good fit, but neither was Rage and RHCP. As long as the undercard is strong, that's all most people care about.
I haven't seen Green Day in about 14 years, but they were great then, and they've only gotten better musically since then. I would be a little iffier on REM, since they seem so far past their prime.
No Doubt would have been fine a couple years ago, but Gwen's solo stuff is too embarrassing to overcome. Seems like they wouldn't headline anyway, but maybe I'm underestimating the So-Cal draw.
