I did a search for the album title and didn't see any threads. It obviously deserves its own thread, being perhaps my favorite piece of art of all time.

One thing I like to do sometimes is look at the rateyourmusic.com reviews of the album. They're a real testament to the emotional power of the album. This is one of my favorites, by a guy with the username of x y z:

I heard this album for the first time last year while driving to a friends house, I listened to it in its entirety. I sat for a few minutes in the car while two headed boy part two came to a close and thought "jesus, this is one of the best album's i've ever heard."

My friend Josh is thinking of getting that tattoo. He's the one who showed me this album. I remember when I heard the band name I thought it sounded like some kind of shitty pop punk band (I knew little about contemporary music at the time), but after awhile he convinced me to listen to it. It is the reason that I started taking music as seriously as I did.

My friend used to play this album at work and I'd be stunned by the first track and then ask who it was. This happened like three times and then he made me borrow the album. Before too long all my fantasy sports teams were named after NMH lyrics. The only one I can recall right now, though, is "Dance In Your Tangles," but that's from the other album.

Little Birds is incredible, it's really disturbing on an almost visceral level, but also kind of pure and beautiful. Such is the brilliance of Mangum.

When I met the Olivia Tremor Control guys a few years ago, they made it seem like it wasn't very likely that it'd ever happen. They said he was much happier doing what he is doing now, which is just writing with friends and playing on other people's albums.
I'd be there if it happened.
