Cara, even if you're not sure you would want to work in the field, I don't understand why you wouldn't want to finish your master's degree since you just have to write the thesis. It seems like a lot of hard work and money wasted if you don't complete it.

I can understand not being sure you want to work in that field (I never have and never will work in the field from my undergrad degree), but having the master's finished can't possibly be a bad thing versus having just the undergrad and a series of part time jobs to account for those years.

You'd still have the option to avoid growing up after you finish it. :-)

I woke up with strep yesterday. Ended up drinking last night. My throat is 10X worse today. Gargled some salt water and took 2 doses of Mucinex sore throat stuff and it's not working all that well. I've never went to a hospital over being sick but am considering it right now

This week has really, really sucked -- more than the average week/month/year at my job sucks. I am so aggravated that I want to quit. I kind of knew that, instead of being a quiet almost-holiday day today, that ... once again it would be a non-stop shit storm.

Sure enough, at 6:30AM, people start calling me freaking out over stuff. There is nothing I can do to fix it or help them. They wanted me to work a few extra hours fielding calls from customers who want to scream and swear and make threats.

I knew today would be awesome!! That's why I stayed up late drinking last night!! (Ow).

I'd work until April and take the $125/mo. But I'm not a very frugal person so I am always happy for some extra money. $125/mo is a Coachella trip.

Retire now, you could find something that easily throws $125 your way a month, if not a week.
Plus after taxes, that $125 will turn into much less. You could easily find something to bide your time with in your local area. Find a way to let kids know they be buggin' and get paid for it!

My boss just sent me a text to let me know I will not be off on Christmas day.
This is after I already made plans to celebrate with my family.
I am already working until 11pm on Christmas eve.


Update: She just called to tell me to drop everything and report to the store immediately.
Our weekly shipment just arrived and she cannot operate the forklift.
