well... i found out I'm having a kid. and while this on it's own isn't reason for a bad mood (as much as I hadn't planned on it, I'm excited), it's severely fucking with the next 6 months which were supposed to be focused pretty strictly on my thesis. that's putting me in a bad mood because I have to fucking reconfigure a lot of my schedule. it probably won't be too bad though, but thinking about it now is stressful.

you know that the kid is going to rebel against my taste randy, any sane person would. I know I ended up the total opposite of my parents in a lot of ways, and if it continues my kid is gonna be super straight laced and not really give a shit about art, music, or movies.

haha. I'm nervous, but I have a couple sisters that are substantially younger than me (I was 18 when one was born) that I've taken care of pretty regularly, so I'm about as prepared as you can be I think. Not that that's saying anything...

Congratulations. The first couple years are crazy but kinda fun (for me anyway). It gets crappier once they know how to get into everything and start talking back.
