Man C (Noir) in current relationship with Bob but doesn't do anything for her for mother's day because it's not his problem.

In all honesty, I think the perfect gift for any mom is time with her kids, maybe make her dinner (if you can cook) or clean her house. Unless the kid is super wealthy, then a car in the driveway or a trip to the bahamas would be expected.

lol actually no my kids mom just looks like she's been in prison. In my case, Connor was 5 years old when I met his mom and his biological dad hadn't seen him since he was 18 months old. His bio dad had already left the state and was in and out of prison in another state. Me and his mom broke up when he was about 10 years old so the only dad he ever had was me so despite our breaking up I stayed in his life ever since. About 2 or 3 years ago his mom got married to another guy who is considered the step-dad. I see Connor about once a week, I go to his flag football games, some doctors appointments, some teachers meetings etc. So i'm a fairly active part time dad.

Connor will be 14 next month and graduates Jr. High this Thursday.

The only times I remember her getting excited and said Thank You for gifts was when we bought her a Louis Vuitton purse with matching wallet and the cruise we got her and our dad for her 50th birthday.

My daughter and I had pedicure day on Saturday, then she came over early Sunday and helped me prepare food for our family dinner we had at my sisters. She made the bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers which were amazingly delicious, more so than normal because I wasn't the one who had to have the burning fingers.

that's what we did. went and stayed at a hotel for the weekend. nice resort right up the street, pools and waterslides for the kids. we just all hung out without having to worry about dishes, laundry, making beds, etc.

and i decided to drink saturday, my wife was so happy because i never drink and she likes drunk steve, guess i am a lot of fun when i let loose. spent most of sunday hungover, but she didn't mind, haha. then we checked out and i got the bill for the weekend. once you have a couple of drinks at a resort you just don't give a shit how expensive they are i guess. ouch.

They are so good and so easy to make. I prefer the maple bacon, slice the jalepeno down the center, scoop out seeds, fill with cream cheese, wrap in bacon and throw them on the grill. I forgot to tell my daughter to soak the skewers in water first though, so they kept catching on fire (oops), we ended up just throwing them in the oven instead and that worked great too.

Steve, that sounds amazing too.

It is just one of those things I always forget. It's stupid I know, my exzyma on my hands is getting out of control again because I am doing more cooking which means more hand washing, plus I of course do most of the cleaning around the house and I know I am allergic to all of the cleaning supplies, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to buy rubber gloves, or it just never crosses my mind when I shop. You would think the cracked fingers and $40 medicated hand cream would be clue enough to remember to buy some fucking gloves.

I just think it's really weird. My mom has been mentioning it since I was around 22. She never mentions marriage, though.
