Especially for how close SD is to Coachella, I can't believe you didn't add us to the list. About a fourth of the members are from San Diego.

born and raised. I've never lived anywhere else, and I don't expect to. I'm too wimpy to live anywhere cold, and it's too expensive to live in California.

Moving from Vegas to Denver was quite a temp shock for me...especially when we get those single digit temps and below....but it is nice to see snow...Cali was my 1st choice but it is just too expensive...especially in Nor cal....maybe one day....

I forgot to mention that the humid, hot places have too many bugs. I don't want that either. We have relatively few bugs here in AZ, unless you live near water. I've heard New Mexico has nice weather, but I don't think many bands stop there.

A number of small bands stop by Sante Fe but that is about it...I picked Denver because my top 3: Bjork, Radiohead, Sigur Ros have all played here a number of times in the past 5 years...so it sealed the deal for me...

I've thought about Denver--my husband's employer and my employer both have offices there. I just don't know if I can handle the cold. And I might have to start skiing again, which is expensive.

What do you guys do? We are trying to start skiing but it is indeed expensive...

Here are some secrets.

1. find someone with a season pass they can buy you tickets for half price.

2. Just ask random people walking around if the have extra tickets. A lot of times people from out of town will buy week long passes then by the weekend be to tired to use them, most of the time the are really nice and just give them to you.

3. 4 passes on craigslist. They are good for most days and a lot of people will get hurt throughout the season and try to get rid of them anyway possible

4. do the half day thing a lot of parents will sit in the lodge and get drunk by 11:00 because they are exhausted just ask if you can buy their ticket, some people will be happy to sell you thier ticket for under $20.

5. hike...its a bitch but if you make it up less then a quater of the mountain a lot of chairlifts go higher up and no-one up there check your tickets.

6. Bribes- Hippies and ski bums work the lifts, pot and or a 20 spot will get you to the top all day.
