Default Writers Strikes Hurts Exposure to new bands

This may be a very minor consequence to the WGA's writers strike, but since all of the late night talk shows are now only showing reruns, it is preventing upcoming new and indie bands from getting nationwide television exposure on such shows as Leno. Letterman, Kimmel, Conan O'Brian and Saturday Night Live. I hope my favorite genre of music will survive this intact if the strike goes on for a long time. However, I am siding with the writers in this current labor dispute.

... do I dare ask what Ken's favorite genre of music is?

My favorites in music genres are indie rock, indie pop/twee/, brit pop, shoegazer, the Manchester Scene, and 80s new wave (especially the darker stuff).

I only wanted your favorite genre, like you said. Stuff your pluralities up your big fat ass, ken.

My favorite of all time is Britpop, but indie rock is extremely close.

Ken, I listened to the Blue Aeroplanes solely because you refused to stop mentioning them. They are good.

And you're worried about brit pop expiring because of the lack of new late night talk shows?

Thanks to the props for the Blue Aeroplanes. They are one of my favorite bands. I wish they would reunite for Coachella. I still want the Ocean Blue and Trashcan Sinatras to get equal respect.

As for the dearth of new late night programming, I am worried about it hurting exposure to indie rock bands. Brit Pop is (unfortunately) not a factor a the present time.

Strangely enough, due to the dearth of working writers, I was recently contacted by all 4 major networks (and one cable network) regarding development of the Ken Scalir/Stephanie story into a TV movie or weekly series.

Naturally, being a staunch WGA supporter, I declined them al.

they are playing old reruns of leno, I saw one from like right around 95' (maybe?) the other night...there was no musical guest, but if they start playing old shows, maybe older bands will be discovered by people who discover music by watching tv.
