whatever vendor made those frozen fruit slushie things in 09. They were great.
In & Out after the night is over. Walk up, not drive through.
I still have cravings for that green super food drink that the kale farmers had in the camping farmer's market. Really, how can I get me some??? I put in some effort to figure out which farm was at the farmer's market but came up short.

On Friday evening, my 3 friends and I were perusing the East Food Court when I spotted this on the far end:
I asked my friends if I was mistaken in reading it or if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Immediately, a consensus was reached that we should have a look. We each tried the Steak Sandwich and split one of the Apple Raisin Bread Puddings. Both were very delicious. I also ordered the Fruit with Yogurt and I really liked that, too. That was a great dessert/alternative.
We came back on Saturday afternoon and I tried the Shrimp Salad. I admit that when I first looked at it, it didn't seem like much, but a few bites in and I was hooked. Again I ordered a Fruit Plate, and my friends and I split a Bread Pudding again because we liked it so much the day before. My friends ordered the Sliders, but they said they were disappointed with those and liked the Steak Sandwich better.
About a week after Coachella, I looked up the local RCSH restaurant and emailed them to say thanks for being there and that I hope they come back in 2011. Man, they had better.
I did try the chicken taquitos on Saturday night, but I was disappointed. The guacamole that came with it was just ok. With people talking up the Spicy Pie, I will have to give that a try this year.
There was a certain group of vendors that had a number of picnic tables under a tent kind of near the Sahara tent if I remember correctly. I bought a steak sandwich with grilled onions which to this day is the best thing i've ever eaten
Hippie wraps = 3 days of being safe from extended portopotty sessions and they are filling too!

Opposite of main stage is the "main" food garden, towards the left (if you're facing main stage) there is a redwood colored booth; they will have fresh squeezed juices/smoothies and wraps/salads with tofu and seitan.
These wraps are filled with fresh veggies, really good tofu/seitan and a lemon sauce/peanut thai sauce. $9-10 bucks, prices fluxed a little bit the past few years. Sometimes on Sunday's they've been sold out.
WHY THIS AND NOT SPICY PIE?
No need to worry about dropping bombs so much. I've found my body reacts really well to this food despite all the conditions I put my body through that weekend: Illicit substance use, drinking in excess (more of a tree smoker), dancing/running amok from 2pm-4am, lack of sleep, desert heat, illicit substance use. You can eat one of these and be ready to go meet up with a friend at the dance tent instantly.
Now if you eat pizza, hot dogs, burritos, grease, and more grease. Well expect your body to say "drop it like its hot". Just not a fun feeling when you can't hit up home base.
RECOMMENDATION FOR ALL:
POOP WHEN ITS NOT HOT OUTSIDE - PORTOS ARE SO TERRIBAD
ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS 100+ DEGREES. UGH. Memories.
I may have to give the wraps a try. They sound good.
I agree that too much of certain foods isn't always a good thing.
