THE BREEDERS ARE TOURING IN 2008
THE BREEDERS ARE PLAYING AT COACHELLA IN 2008
Kim & Kelley Deal are definitely still in the band
you can sneak preview a track from Mountain Battles on The Breeders' MySpace page for the next 7 days. Go fucking do it.
FUCKING SWEET!
STOKED!!
they were one of my favs when they first came out.
Unless Pitchfork = GV, I'll believe it when I see it. All these rumours of who/what/where/why/why not/what do you mean they're not playing/whatever/orly?/yarly/nowai! are killing me and it's still 2mos to the official lineup release.
For now, I'm sitting back and having faith that GV will deliver another knockout lineup like they did this year.

Breeders Bounce Back With 'Mountain Battles'
December 04, 2007, 5:15 PM ET
Cortney Harding, N.Y.
After a six-year absence, the Breeders will return April 8 with a new album, "Mountain Battles." The 4AD set features sisters Kim and Kelley Deal flanked by Jose Medeles on drums and bassist Mando Lopez.
"Mountain Battles" is the follow-up to 2002's "Title TK." Since then, Kim Deal has been on tour and recording with the reunited Pixies.
The Breeders will tour worldwide throughout 2008, including performances at Canadian Music Week, South by Southwest and the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. A U.K. run will coincide with the album release.
2008 marks the 20th anniversary of the Breeders, who finally hit the mainstream with the 1993 album "Last Splash" and its Modern Rock chart smash, "Cannonball."
Update: The Prodigy will not play Coachella 2008
November 26, 2007 · No Comments
The other day, we posted a link to the myspace of Cooking Vinyl USA, the record label for The Prodigy, which indicated that the band is scheduled to play Coachella 2008.
Well today, we received an email from the the label that said differently. In fact, The Prodigy are not scheduled to appear at next year’s Coachella and the date is simply an error on their myspace page.
Anyhow, sorry to get everyones hopes up.
**Cough, cough**
So, are the pixies officially out?
Upcoming Shows:
Sasquatch Festival
Can we still have a Frank Black solo performance at Coachella?
well people will say the Pixies aren't the greatest or most exciting live band either. But I love his music.
good pick!
Steve Albini producing/writing on the new album= Awesome. Now only if Big Black would get back together.
Edit> NM I guess he had nothing to do with the new album.

Hey, breeders = funtimes.
marko vs. microlovebeat = lame.
ignore is ur friend.
I was fortunate to see Albini and Santiago play together as BIG BLACK on the second floor of a Salvation Army in Columbus, Ohio right after the 'Racer X' ep came out. It was very surreal, seeing them perform amongst racks of used clothes. Don't know how the show came about or who booked it, but it was one of the best "concerts" I have ever been to in my life. They used a reel-to-reel (tape) machine with pre-recorded drums, which they sat-up on a metal folding chair. Very innovative stuff, back in the day. Yeah, bring BIG BLACK to Coachella!
