Going through the MySpace pages for the Coachella bands this year, and listening to Julieta Venegas I realized I don't have any Spanish music (other than Mars Volta and Santana). Any recommendations?

No one has mentioned Los Enanitos Verdes, caifanes, soda estereo, hombres g, if you like old skool metal rata blanca
If the rest of the civilized world likes MTV nowadays, I can see why they disagree with me. Libido used to be good, original, but now they just remain as a shitty sad copy of Oasis. Nobody can deny that. I still like their old songs tho, Casa de los gritos and En Esta Habitacion are not bad.
Ive not heard about El Diario de Hank, but I can recommend a really good instrumental peruvian band, Los Belkins.
Some more,
Chile representing, Lucybell.
Argentina, Gustavo Cerati. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.
Mexico, Maldita Vecindad.
to employ a pot-ism:
rebekah del rio, bitches, where is she?
seriously though. my currently favorite female voice.
oh and even though they split up a while ago:
Illya Kuriaki and the Valderramas
kinky
OUTKAST 2014

The impoverished people of el Peru don't have MTV.

duh. the gypsy kings. hahahhaa dammit they make me wanna shake my ass. but they sing more catalan than spanish, no?
Check out Miles Davis's "Sketches of Spain." It's good. Also check out a lot of Chick Corea's stuff... ie. Touchstone, My Spanish Heart.
If you mean Afro-Cuban stuff, listen to the Palmieri's. Eddie and Charlie. Uhh, of course these guys are all jazz type. I don't know if that's what you meant. Batacumbele are good too.
