a welcomed addition.
WORD!
Caribou is fucking gangsta, that would be awesome if they were there. There new album Andorra is in my opinion one of the best albums of the year. It would be really sick if they were there.
Kudos for that find.
hell yes! new album is great and I missed their show a few weeks ago, as i opted to catch Joanna's orchestral show instead.
the milk of human kindness is an awesome album.
N8TIVE
yea, there old album is hella ***** too.
I saw Caribou back in 2003 when they were known as "Manitoba". They opened up for Broadcast. I had never heard of them before, but they fucking blew me away. It featured two drummers & lead guitar/vocalist. The drummers were both dressed like eagles, so when they were frantically battling it was insane to watch their wings flapping about. The lead singer had a pig mask on, but that is all I can remember of his costume. It was easily one of the most rad live performances I've ever seen though.
I haven't heard the new album in it's entirety, but what I have I dig a lot. I'm going to try and pick up the new album this week if I can get my sick ass out of bed.
Has their live show changed considerably? I saw some footage from one of their shows and though it seemed great, it certainly didn't seem to be as manic as their 2003 show.
I find the Milk album to be his weakest, actually. Although Barnowl is one of my favorite songs of his.
I am dying to catch the band live. Would have seen them in October, but he had to be a dumbass and schedule it on the same night as UNKLE. I really hope Coachella is happening.

This is similar to the performance I saw by them, except they're not in costume here. (the show I was at was at Bowery Ballroom NYC in '03)
This is one of their most recent shows at Bowery. Still looks rad. I'm totally down for them to be at Coachella. I only pray Broadcast is as well.
I like the "Up in Flames" album
I love the two drummer thing. And how they dont do it lame by always playing the same parts but by having the two drummers actually play different beats. The first time I saw them was amazing, the second time, which was only about a month ago... wasnt as intense but still was really good. I would love to see them at coachella.
Also, I'm sure everyone knows this but Caribou/Manitoba is only one guy... those are just his lackies for the live show.
I'd also say this is a band that's much better live than on recording.
