    Trying to stay current or “cool” I always was looking for Christmas music that was semi contemporary … 20 years ago I picked up the LP entitled 3 Ships by Jon Anderson …. It is considered a Christmas record although some might disagree …. I haven’t played it in years because my turntable is broken (no needle) but I still think of that LP during Christmas time … it was in collaboration with Vangelis (Papathanassiou, guess that is why he is known as Vangelis … also did award winning Chariots of Fire) and Anderson …. They also did another better LP entitled Three Friends of Mr. Cairo which some of you probably have heard …. Oh btw, for the total novices here, Jon Anderson was the lead singer for Yes and other groups … canx** …..

    2 oz blended whiskey

    I was driving home from yesterday, and hit a preset on my XM. I forgot my wife had programmed in a couple of the Christmas channels. Whatever came on was gawdawful, and I was just about to switch again when on came some surf-band called Swamp Zombies doing the theme to "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians". Within 10 seconds, I'm bouncing up and down yelling "YOU SPELL IT S-A-N-T-A-C-L-A-U-S...HOORAY FOR SANTY CLAUS!" Made my whole frickin' day.

    that's me right now. If it wasn't for family I'd hate christmas everything it stands for is all wrong. A holiday that celebrates nothing but consumerism. Family to me is what Christmas is all about and most likely I won't be able to spend time with my family on Christmas because I'll be stuck at work so call me the grinch because Fuck Christmas.
