I wonder if I will finally see The Men as I always seem to skip/exhausted from work on their show nights in my area.

You won't be disappointed. They bring so much energy into their show and blew away Black Flag last time I saw them!

And Spooks, the Echo is tiny, it holds maybe 300ish people? Really cool venue.

I think its pretty shitty The Roots never tour on the West coast. I get that they are a House band for Fallon, but fuck. I am so pissed I missed the Roots AND Soulwax on Sunday 2007. That is one reason why i will never camp off site again.

Yeah, it's a real bummer. Do you remember when they were initially on the LA Rising lineup? I was so stoked, and then they were removed from the poster after a few hours.

The line up for Detour was great, the location sucked. All the stages were set up on the street with the main stage (I think it was the main stage that Mars Volta played on) was set a little furher back on whatever street it was on so viewing was blocked by buildings and the metro station if you werent standing looking directly at the stage, and the kids moshing in the street and tripping over the curbs during Gogol was pretty funny to watch, Cut Copy was way late on their start time, but all in all it was a fun little festival that will never happen again.

I loved the location of Detour. It's coming back this year actually, I'm pretty sure there is a thread somewhere. I can't wait, and hopefully at the same location.
