all three were fantastic. best night of music I have had in a while! I wouldn't say Nathan upstaged the other two but he did make it more like a triple-headliner bill.

Jon Hopkins closed out in SF so the LA show tonight might be Clark closing out.

oof! john hopkins was da sheeeeee. echoplex mostly cleared out after that. but clark was pretty wow too. brain bending stuff.
I could see Hopkins being on the bill for Coach, he had a pretty adoring crowd, although it was a bit bro-ey. A little too much talkie talk and shovie shoves during the quiet parts. I suppose that's to be expected at the echoplex.

I was most excited for Jon Hopkins, and he played a great set, BUT Clark was phenomenal. My mind was blown, his mixing and the flow of the set was intense, and perfect. Loved him, my favorite of the night for sure. Nathan Fake was great too, but I only saw about 30 minutes of his set cause we had to wait in line to get in.

Agreed on Clark. Havent heard much of his stuff lately but thouroughly enjoyed Growls Garden. I think James Zabelia's EM was the last time I heard that.

Had a fun weekend in NYC. Friday: Went to Passion Lounge to catch L-Vis 1990 before heading to the Numbers 10th anniversary warehouse party with Jackmaster, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, DJ Deeon, and Spencer around 2ish. Tons of people in a pretty big space. Sound was decent, stayed there very very late as it was a blast. Saturday: decided to check out what was going on at Output after hearing so many good things, ended up getting in for free with an RSVP before midnight and was not disappointed. Only act on the bill I was familiar with was Osunlade and he was quite good. Loved how different the vibes were between the main room and the side room (also known as Panther Room). The Martinez Brothers showed up in the main room too and stalked around the DJ booth for a bit. Output has a great sound system along with consistently stacked bills, definitely recommend heading there while it's still hot.

He was pretty great, everyone was really into it. and yes, lots of ghetto house. Jackmaster was the real star of the night though, played a more enjoyable set than last time I caught him at Rhonda.
