simple logic would assume that if you can go from one section to another, it would be from better to lesser. (i.e. floor to balcony). For it to work in the other direction selling separate tickets for both would be pointless. To think it would possibly be the other way around is... well... silly, to say the least. Further... if balcony got you anywhere in the venue, I wouldn't have said that the tickets being balcony was a "downside".

We're not talking rocket science here.

I mean, yeah sure, it should be a simple assumption. But I have read on this forum that, for I guess some Other venue, You can go from one section to another. But I guess its friday and people must be trolling, bored at work, wanting me to hang myself and jump off the balcony because i don't know said assumed simple logic.

Anyways, Jagwar Ma should be a lot of fun tonight, I'll try to hurt myself in some serious way for you guys.

Bobby Womack - 2013 Tour Dates

12/20-22 City Winery New York, NY

    Hawkwind tour postponed

As many of you will now be aware, Dave was taken ill a couple of weeks ago. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stress related, aggravated by the trademark dispute in the United States which could result in years of litigation.

After enduring a series of tests, Dave has now been advised that it could be dangerous to his health to embark on a grueling 14,000 mile tour at this time.

After much discussion about possible ways forward, the members of the band have reluctantly decided that it is necessary to reschedule the dates to March 2014, rather than putting Dave's health at unnecessary risk. (New dates for each venue will be announced next week)

Whilst we understand that this will come as a big disappointment to those of you who have booked tickets, as it does to ourselves, we are equally sure that you will understand health concerns must take priority.

Neil Young will perform at a benefit for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music that Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and Anthony Kiedis will host.

The organization announced Friday that the event will take place Oct. 30 in Silverlake, Calif. Red Hot Chili Peppers will also perform.

Flea founded the Silverlake Conservatory of Music in 2001. It facilitates music education and offers music lessons and scholarships.

The RHCP bassist says in a statement that he's "grateful" for all the help given to the organization. He adds that Young performing at the event "is the greatest blessing."

A silent auction will take place and will feature donations from Marc Jacobs, Tony Hawk, Pearl Jam, Gucci and others. The event costs $2,000 per guest, and a 10-seat table is $25,000.

I've gotten onto the floor @ the Fonda, with a balcony ticket, for multiple shows. These shows were definitely not sold out though. That being the key factor.

[edit, actually I remember getting onto the floor for NIN with a balcony ticket.]

I'd imagine for sold out shows (like Disclosure), they will probably check your ticket (often times they don't though). They would rather have those without seats in the balcony (as they oversell the balcony, get there early), to be on the floor if it is undersold.

People talk'n shit, don't know shit, as usual.

On sold out show they keep it pretty tight at the Fonda, they give floor wristbands and they deface the original ticket so you can't get another wristband and they check everyone going to the floor.

Also, the balcony is so bad now since they over sell the balcony over it's seat capacity and expect people to crowd in those crummy limited view GA back of balcony areas who miss a seat.
