Late show added for Zola Jesus at Hollywood forever

    Zola Jesus with JG Thirlwell
    Friday September 27
    9:45 PM
    $25

Question I have is if JG Thirlwell will be performing with her ala the Version recent release she did at the guggenheim or he just opening JG Thirlwell now that they are buddy buddy? Regardless I'm sure it'll be great, but Ive never seen her live before and am mostly trying to know what to expect.

Could not bring up a Pit today for Flaming Lips/TI. But did get Row A, section A. Guess that'll do. May try again for Pit during regular sale.

For Flaming Lips, you mean? Yea, there is probably some luck to it. But no substitute for an excellent internet connection. My work connection lags so most decent tickets I have been getting lately are via the iPhone app. Without fail, it brings up better tickets than the online search via my work PC. Today the best I could do on my work PC was row M, section A but my iPhone brought up row A. A variety of factors involved for why that is, I'm sure. Try again during the regular sale tomorrow.

Wonder if there is a way for the system to recognize a mobile device. Easy to assume scalpers wouldn't have 20 phones trying to buy tickets as opposed to their computer programs that do what they do, so maybe they release certain Tix for mobile only. Yeah, it's a stretch, but who knows.

On a high level, yes... the system should easily be able to tell if the device is mobile or not. I'm sure, however, there's ways to fake it.

Above and Beyond Acoustic (yeah yeah i know) practically soldout the Greek LA instantly by the reg onsale. 2 nights. I believe that was the most successful booking of the season for that venue.

Im sure it will sound completely different from what they normally do, hence, why they are doing it. Im sure it will be a fun eventful night, not worth my money though.

I'm not into a lot of their studio stuff, but their old TAW Mixes are fucking amazing.

Residual benefits of Decibel festival. Not sure if you've been already but you and others interested in here should look into it, if not for this year then next.
