So it sounds like the Pixies are still worth seeing despite the lack of Kim Deal. I've never seen them so I might as well try to go.

My friends are in line at Fingerprints. They were informed that even though the shop opens at 10, the tickets aren't available until noon. Boo.

That's pretty ridiculous. Origami opens at noon so no waiting after the store opens.

Run The Jewels (aka Killer Mike + El-P) was an absolute blast last night. Fantastic show on every level. It was my first time seeing either of them and the show exceeded my high expectations. Each of them played a ~45 minute solo set, and then both came back out and played Run The Jewels in its entirety, minus one song I think. The crowd was going absolutely mental from the second Killer Mike set foot on stage and I think the energy from the audience really surprised both of them. Needless to say, they returned the energy ten-fold and made this show the most fun hip-hop show I have ever been to. At certain points I felt like I was at a punk show.

If you are even thinking about seeing them on this tour... even if you saw them on their tour last year, do not miss this show. The extra Run The Jewels set is worth it alone and both of them seem like they are having the time of their lives right now. Do think. Just go.

I don't know what the hell was going on with Ticketmaster this morning... Attempted to snag two tickets for The Pixies right at 10, and the wait on my search was "less than a minute" for about 8 minutes... but whatever... two tickets to the Mayan purchased, and that's all that matters!

Looks like Pixies tickets are fresh out for all of the LA dates. Pretty psyched I set my alarm and bought a ticket for what will presumably be the first show they play in this second era of the band!

I will forever love my one and only Pixies experience.

Sparta into Pixies into Radiohead into Kraftwerk. That was enough for me. A magical day indeed.

Atom TM was a lot of fun.I would describe Atom TM as Kraftwerk meets Matthew Dear. His visuals are great expect for one song was a music video.Besides that I would of liked to have his I Love U ( like my drum machine) song in his set last night.I also was very happy he didnt have that Who revamp song because I think The Who is a one hit wonder(Teenage Wasteland or nothing).

Incorrect. And that's not even the name of the song.

    7/31 - Hamilton Leithauser - Echo (?)
    8/01 - Ceremony/Nothing - Roxy (?)

The Who are, unarguably, one of the greatest rock bands ever. It's tough to choose their greatest song because their body of work is so strong. But I'm partial to We're Not Gonna Take it and A Quick One... (performance from The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus).

Pearl Jam did a great cover of Love Reign O'er Me when I saw them a while back. That's a great song too.

they couldn't even sell out the fox.... not sure who's doing their booking.. not doing a very good job.

you don't add a club nokia show before an arena show, of course people are going to choose that over an old run down arena.

Certain promoters took a chance on them, thinking this new album would continue their popularity rise, but they ended up being wrong. So here we are.
