Yeah, and? I wasnt gonna use the wifi in the campgrounds which was about the same speed as dial up when youre on it.

Honda Center Stonea tix are prob from the brokers who have Anaheim Ducks season tickets and are getting dibs.

I have season tickets at Staples and get dibs on concerts, but I haven't gotten an email about the Stones. Waiting patiently...

Okay, so use one of the computers in the Activies Center then? I assume those are faster than wi-fi on a netbook?

WRONG WRONG WRONG. if you haven't seen Sigur Ros do not listen to this. their Outside Lands set last year was better than the Copley SD show in '08, and one of the best i've ever seen.

i think it will be kind of like jeff mangum last year. i didn't think that would translate well to a festival but he did just fine. also sigur ros sounded fine at lolla last year, they just put them on at 4pm which made no sense at all. coachella will do the right thing.

So youre telling me I wasted my money when I saw them last year at a fucking cemetery? Or in 2005 at The Hollywood Bowl? Damn, i didnt know I had been doing it wrong for the last 11 years.

May 5th. Tix are $500 each. Already sold out. And no im not making this up. Who could they have gotten for 500 a ticket...The Rolling Stones? Macca? Jesus?

To refresh everyone's memory, last time Power Forward played the Bootleg it ended up being a secret Cold War Kids show, which was later announced. Tix were 100 each.

No, the Power Forward event was in the other room, Bootleg Bar. CWK was in the theater. This time it looks like its different.

Oh ok, online sites reported it was just a CWK show. But still what could this be for 500 a ticket. No way it's just a Euro dance party like they claim.

Didnt Moviebruin clarify that Power Forward ended up in the bar? Still though. Why the fuck are you charging $100 for Cold War Kids when they announced it officially and it was $25?

"Power Forward" is just a place holder until they can announce who the secret guest is. At which time the price will drop to respectable levels. Think CWK was 15 bucks? Lets hope its a better secret guest this time around...

Did he clarify that it wasn't Cold War Kids? I can't find information on it having been anything else.

EDIT: so it seems the bar/theater distinction doesn't matter.

For $500 it better be a better secret guest. I can't believe it's sold out, what idiot would blindly pay that.

No, what he's saying is the price and "sold out" doesn't matter. Last time they just changed the name and price and put tickets on sale when it was time to actually announce the band. So basically, this just means keep that date in mind and keep and eye out.

Right I get that, but the fact remains that earlier today Power Forward wasn't sold out, and now it is. I got to a purchase page earlier, obviously didn't buy it though. *Someone* paid 500.

Last time some people actually paid 100 for the Power Forward tickets, and I imagine most or all of them ended up feeling extremely ripped off when they found out what the show was and how much it cost.

If they wanted to put a complete placeholder on the band then they should just have a future on sale date for the tickets.
