Have you seen them recently? By all accounts they're the best they've ever been now. And I loved the show I saw last fall. Anything but shit.

The only time I saw New Order was the final song ("Can't Get You Out of My Head" intro for "Blue Monday") at Coachella 2005. I've become a huge fan of theirs in the intervening years. I've been a fan of Moby's since 1999 and this is my first opportunity to see him. I've seen Sigur Ros twice, including a show in a small theater in 2008 that's unlikely to be topped at Coachella. Besides, what I've heard about New Order's recent performances is this:

So yeah, New Order isn't losing any conflict.

I got there in time to hear them doodle on "Careless Whisper," then the asshole started singing like he'd just had a stroke & they segued into a frat-friendly song, so I decided I needed to use the restroom & get another beer. Didn't even hear any banter.

Skipping out on Sigur Ros at Coachella is not that bad of an idea. This is a band that has to be seen indoors with absolutely no sound bleed to a good audience and time for a full set, otherwise the effect just isn't the same. They put on the most intense show I've ever seen a couple of weeks ago, and I know that it wouldn't have been the same at Coachella.

I would kill some kid next to me talking about when Phoenix is going to play during "Vaka".

Sigur Ros wakes your soul up from a deep slumber and gives you the longest, warmest hug you've ever experienced. They are life changing sonic perfection that brings you tears of joy, sullen with the spectrum of human emotions while placing you like a tack in the space around you to view the universe as a wide open unending question called infinity while simultaneously focusing on the subatomic mysterious that live within us. They played in a cemetery, which was fucking magical, sounded PERFECT; out of 5,000 shows that I've been to, it was the best show of my life. SEE THEM. and no, i was not on any drugs. best live band working today

I'm apparently the only living person who didn't care for Sigur Ros live.

I'll try again at Coach, though.

Not to turn this into a Sigor Ros thread, but they were pretty damn amazing in 2006 on the main stage, sunset

I remember that show being marred with sound problems. I wasn't feeling the magic at all.

There's wireless on the campgrounds right? I'm going to bring my netbook and do the Citi presale Friday morning. I usually wake up early when camping so it shouldn't be a problem.

Can someone explain to me how the fuck there are tickets to the Stones at Honda Center on StubHub already? I mean, I'm not surprised I guess, but are these just industry people selling theirs off?

Some of them are. But most of them are scalpers who EXPECT to get those tickets. Which is why if you buy now you might end up with a call from Stubhub saying the seller actually has a different row, or even section than you thought.
