It's cool, I have family in TX and have been visiting for years all over the state and have NO IDEA where anything is in relation to other cities. "Y'all go that away you hear?"

Nice. sad I had to miss cause of a friends bp party in vegas. His set at Largo last yr was top 3 concerts for me in 2012.

Totally agree. The Pomona show was beyond amazing. Part of it was the crowd, so I really hope the Coachella crowd decides to dance instead of just standing still like they usually do to indie rock bands.

Tick is really great live. They played Y Control at one of Mexico shows last month so it'll pop back up on the set list again Hearing Miles Away live again was a nice little surprise!

We've already established popularity does not equate to billing on the lineup...
But 5 minutes in and Phoenix still has floor tix for the pomona show, while Modest Mouse was pulling balcony or nothing 5 minutes in. If only MM was headlining...

It also got announced 90 minutes before its onsale and when normal people already going to coschella to see them are hanging out in the campgrounds. No one even knows about it yet outside of the die hards.

It's going to be on ASX, pretty sure. Which makes it even worse if it's during Coachella.

Shit shit shit I didn't even contemplate this. If that happens then this whole Rolling Stones thing has turned into like a giant "fuck you" to Coachella.

It's possible they may add shows in LA, and hopefully Anaheim, given the gaps...?

Heads up for those of you hoping to score the $85 tickets for the Stones; those tickets are not available on the regular Ticketmaster on sale site, you have to follow a link from the band's tour page to a separate Ticketmaster site and that link doesn't pop up until the show goes on sale.

I would have thought that another Coachella act would be opening for Phoenix on Thursday, but apparently Mac DeMarco is.

I have tickets for a few shows but I am upset I had to buy a pair since I don't have anyone to go with.

I so hope they don't conflict with New Order or Moby. Those are the only two acts who Sigur Ros will lose a conflict to. And of course they're playing where I live on the Friday of Coachella, so seeing them at home isn't a possibility. Glad to hear they knocked your socks off.

Phoenix were fun enough. Faxman remarked that they're like the Beatles in the screeching they elicit from their female fans. Predictably, the Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix material got the biggest response, though there was a jam session midway through that was a stunner. They're going to be fine at Coachella, and they're actually energetic on stage (especially the drummer, who was kind of captivating). Not a band I'd bother to see twice, but I'm glad I got to see them in this setting.

Also, Mac Demarco is shit. Avoid at all costs.

I'm pretty sure you'd regret that choice later on...

I mean I love New Order, but they're kind of shit live.
