Okay, I've always heard that this was regulated by the FDA in any location that serves alcohol. However, after a few hours searching for such a regulation to cite, I can't find anything. I'm starting to believe that there is no rule on the books for this sort of thing, which is just obscene.

Buy your drinks at the front main bar by the merch table and ask for a cup of water, they will pour you one. I haven't done it myself but have seen a ton of people do it while I'm in line for a drink.

In Arizona, pretty much every place that serves food/drinks/booze must provide free water. Should be the case everywhere, honestly.

Maybe I missed some context here but...dude, not every fan catches groups every time they come into town.

You missed the National too! I remember seeing MM twice that night. Modest Mouse played a 2:30am set at Music Hall of Williamsburg after they opened up for REM at the Garden couple hours earlier. I was taping Tiny Cities and Issac jumped on me hence why the video was cut short haha....

LCD Soundsystem front man James Murphy once famously wrote that New York was bringing him down — but now he says his business partner is.
Murphy, whose influential dance-rock group called it quits in 2011, wants nearly $100,000 from Tim Goldsworthy, the British producer with whom he started the New York City music label and production team DFA Records.

In a lawsuit, DFA accuses Goldsworthy of failing to perform services he was paid for, owing outstanding loans, improperly using the company credit card and making unauthorized withdrawals from its bank accounts.

I actually have three upcoming shows (of sorts)!

March 29 - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sharon van Etten @ Beacon Theater
April 26 - Robyn Hitchcock & the Venus 3, Peter Buck @ Webster Hall
May 2 - Stephen Petronio Company "LIKE LAZARUS DID" with Son Lux, yMusic and the Young People's Chorus of NYC @ the Joyce Theater

I will also probably see various operas but sadly the Orphée aux enfers at Manhattan School of Music seems to be sold out.

I just called Goldenvoice and they insist the Ventura show is not a Goldenvocie promoted show, even though it was on the poster. They had no further information but said check with other promoters because they might know something.

I didn't know they did shows; I've been there as a bar and it's pretty decent. They have a good tap selection. Oh, and they're in Santa Monica, which sucks to have to go all the way out to if you guys are coming from Rancho.

Central SAPC used to be called 14 Below...it's an...ok venue I guess? My friend's band used to play there all the time, so I've had several nights out there. It's a bar that has a stage (although a pretty big one in a separate room), so don't expect anything too fancy.
