lol I'm sure they'll play in LA soon. Probably FYF? Not to derail the thread but I'm sure you would be interested in this. You should check out this guy's channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/Decontam...?feature=watch). He has an archive of full sets from hardcore/punk bands dating as far back as 80s. Everything from Black Flag, Bikini Kill, the Locust, the Smiths and etc. Pretty awesome!
Postal Service in ANY venue bigger than the Wiltern seems redic to me. They had ONE album a decade ago and is mellow as hell. Sleep inducing even. How the fuck people gonna go into an arena chill in the nosebleeds and enjoy that show at all?!?!? This and Passion Pit at MSG just makes no sense to me.

Oh shit! May have to try to get to that Chicago gig.
Upcoming Shows:

Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Flag will be doing FYF, so Black Flag is almost certainly a no-go. I really wonder where they'll play. I mean, Black Flag as a name should get them booked in a decently large venue, but at the same time that Flag stuff is going to detract from their pull somewhat, which is a real shame since that's a nostalgia act and it sounds like real Black Flag is already recording their second new album as a unit.
See- The Doors after the summer of '71
i'm gonna try to get a ticket for the SF show.
| May 22 - Paul McCartney | May 24 - Black Flag | May 25 - Soundgarden | May 31 - Baroness | June 1 - Andy Stott | June 10 - Dragonette | June 22 - Tricky | July 27 - Black Sabbath | August 2 - Rob Zombie/Mastodon |August 15 - Queens of the Stone Age | October 4-6 - ACL |
Who the hell is the Postal Service and how the hell did they get so popular?
"why are you so annoying" TheKlein25
How many threads are you going to ask that asinine question in?

They're not already booked, but Keith works with FYF and has for years. And Chuck said in an interview that Dez Cadena has joined on as well, so it should be a two guitar assault, with two of the four vocalists from Black Flag.
Keith and Chuck both hate Ginn, and Ginn forced Chuck out of the band because he didn't like how he played. He said the same about Stevenson for some reason, but I think his biggest reason is that he has said he doesn't want to just be a nostalgia act and those guys all want to do their own thing and work in their own ways. Ginn is very particular about how he writes, records and plays, so he's gotta have control. I mean, he quit Black Flag because Rollins was getting too big and he couldn't get a new singer without people thinking that whatever Rollins did afterwards was the real heir to Black Flag.
I'm excited to see both for very different reasons. Flag will be fun to see them perform from all eras of the catalog, and to finally hear the My War, Slip It In and Loose Nut stuff with two guitars, but Black Flag is and always has been Greg Ginn's band. I'm more excited to see one of my favorite bands existing again.
And expect horrible reviews for the new albums, only to have that opinion change in 20 years, like they have with the post-Damaged work.
12th planet (and prob Skrillex since they're attached at the hip) at Low End Theory tonight...
