Considering that some of my friends responded with "Ha-Gaaaaay" when I told them I was trying to get tix for Justin Timberlake, i'm definitely not trying to go for the brag factor.

It's really interesting how things work. In general, most girls like Justin Timberlake.
On this board, most people consider him as "cool progressive pop".
But outside of this board most guys think he's "girl pop".

I wonder how many people are going to purchase without realizing they need to have the credit card used and a matching ID to get in. AKA they can't re-sell these. I imagine there will be more that pop up online within the 3 day "refund" window because of this.

I think the bigger issue will be the people who realize it after the 3 day period ended and they have to tell their parents to go to the show for them instead.

On another note, last night I saw a band play in Santa Monica featuring Mike Watt on bass, Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction on drums, and Peter DiStefano of Porno for Pyros on guitar. Playing Stooges covers, no less. I was pretty drunk and it was awesome.

Beck LA show on 2/5?

According to Beck’s website, the performance will include "an orchestra of “170 musicians playing on a specially constructed circular stage and working within a multi-directional sound environment, the performance will experiment with the possibilities of perspective and sound movement surrounding the audience.” It will also be recorded using 360º equipment for a Feb. 10 internet unveiling, with viewers able to move freely in the filmed environment.

Lincoln’s website has a teaser for the whole project, which you can check out below, as well as some additional words about Beck’s endeavor, which they seem to be backing. And, possibly related, Beck was recently giving away tickets to a private show on Feb. 5, which now seems likely to be this recording. All in all, this sounds like something that shouldn’t be missed.
