While I'd agree that the pit is nice, for something like Primus if you don't want to be around some wild children, it's just as well to be on the first tier and have a better line of sight. Plus, if you do that you won't have to get in as early since people always bail from that area between sets to get drinks.

And I'm sure Zack will be on top of it, but get your damn drinks before you go into the venue, because they're way too expensive once your in there. Stout, which is apparently pretty badass, is walking distance from the venue. There's also a killer Peruvian chicken place a few blocks away, Pollo A La Brasa, which is a great pre-Wiltern stop.

Beer Belly is close by too. Noisy but a good hang with decent selection of brews

Its not until their most recent release and reforming with Lane did they get more jammy, but they still bring the fury during a lot of their sets. Also, they will forever have a certain fan base of meatheads who have only listened to Frizzle/Sailing and still think PRIMUS SUCKS much to the chagrin of Les. One of the best live bands. Totally in their own category. I'd be at that Wiltern show for sure if I wasn't out of the state, so get weird folks!

If you're on the floor, I suggest getting there somewhat early so you can be near the front of the line and get pit. It will enhance the experience a lot. That is, if separate pit tickets for that show weren't sold (which happens every once in a while).

This show is one of those rare shows where they sold separate pit tickets. So no need to get there early.

My sister said he walked off the stage last night because he wasn't happy with the crowd after 75 mins lol (reminds me of Jack White @ Radio City Night #1). In July, he played for over two hours at the same venue! It's starting to snow over here so hopefully people will be pumped for last weekend of 2012

The Growlers were a lot of fun last night, but had the worst crowd of 2012. Drunk hipsters everywhere throwing shoes, drinks, starting fights and moshing to slow songs. Even the band was getting annoyed when people kept falling into the security pit...
