Why don't you think so? I'm not banking on it myself but it would be nice. They'd fit just fine.
I really like Goon Squad, not much variation on that one though. Poltergeist has the best riff IMO.

They just don't really seem like a Coachella-type band. But hey, anything's possible.

Just went to see Louis CK Staten Island benefit and Chris Rock was the surprise opening act! Unreal.
Wow super jealous.Did Louis CK do the bit where he talked about cell phones?
Nice to see he kept that.I found it hilarious at the Largo. What did Chris Rock talk about?
Finally saw High On Fire tonight. It was brutal and awesome. That is all.

Yeah.. the crowd was all kinds of obnoxious. Too many people thinking that since they had a table they could just leave manners behind and plow through the crowd like a bull in a china shop. Between that and the smoke (and the girl next to me who was just waving her cigarette around without paying any mind to the fact that she was surrounded by people on all sides) we ended up leaving earlier than we planned. Probably rolled out at 1.
Penguin Prison wasn't too bad. I liked the tracks and liked his singing on top of several, but it was mostly either stop/start or pre-mixed tunes. I prefer him with live band.
Green Velvet over at Avalon, on the other hand, was fucking fantastic... Probably the best set I've seen from him in the last two years. Dropped some older tunes from Moroder and Anne Clark in his set that just had me dancing all night.
And the contrast between experiences at Avalon and Lure certainly helped my enjoyment (to be fair though: I'm good friends with the women over at Giant, so I recognize that my experience there is not typical... But I am always appreciative of the fact that they generally ensure that I have plenty of space for me to get my dance on... or, at least, that retarded bouncing thing I do that's my best approximation of dancing)
Green velvet and Pleasurekraft killed it at Control on Friday. Always see either one of those acts when they are local. Loved the interlude where Green Velvet used the the PA. Twas craxxing.
I love green velvet.i need to see him again

Agreed on The Faint praise. The sound was pheomenal and they whipped the crowd into a frenzy, probably the best show i've seen from them since the original DM tour. Only problem i had is that they didn't actually play Danse Macabre from beginning to end. I haven't heard it in a few years, but i'm pretty sure "Take Me To The Hospital" and "Desperate Guys" aren't on that album.
There was a white label 12" with 4 new songs (hand numbered, 1000 copies) for $12 and they have the deluxe 2LP DM reissue for $30. Tshirts were only $15 and $20. Good to see a band as big as they are keeping prices reasonable for fans.

Oh, cool. thanks for that. I was about to look up the set list, had to cut out just before 11 so didn't hear everything, but i did recognize a lot of DM songs before i left. When bands do "full album" tours, they usually do the album first then come back with the extra hits so that's what threw me for a loop.
High on Fire for me Wed., at the tiny Jinx in Savannah. Should be awesome.
Anyone know who the secret guest at School Night is tonight?
