Afghan Whigs were fantastic on friday. The only part I didn't love was the stretch of covers, it got a little bit too slow for too long. But tonight... fucking hell they were incredible. So much better than the first night. It had way more songs I saw looking forward to and never let up the entire set.
Instead of Lovecrimes into Wicked Games, they did it into the chorus of Swimming Pools (Drank) and it was awesome.

Could i get another facebook event invite?![]()
We could only bite our tongues for so long before we spilled the beans about tonight's secret guest. Dim Mak x Drai's Hollywood x The Well would like to invite you all to Drai's as we welcome AZARI & III to the DJ booth. We couldn't be more excited to welcome them to Los Angeles, especially after the recent release of their self titled album, AZARI & III. Tonight we'll be offering complimentary entry before 11 p.m. with RSVP, along with supporting acts GODDOLLARS, Thee Mike B, and DJ Metric. Help us spread the word that AZARI & III are in LA tonight! Hope to see you all there!

Good shit last night. I enjoyed this a bit more than Harvey last month. Since it wasnt a sweatshop and there were almost no douchey people more or less. Did you grab the flyer for the party thats being thrown on the 24th? Should be good, and you can buy advance tix, so at least you know youll get in.
talkin to me? http://www.facebook.com/events/217338155065061/?fref=ts

Hit up Sonar last night. The amount of people there specifically for Die Antwoord was pretty atrocious, but most of them left after Antwoord's set so there was plenty of room to dance for Azari and Troxler (who I missed most of unfortunately). I was really pleased this was an all ages event, which actually enabled me to legally attend an event I was interested in for once, and the crowd seemed older than I am used to. Met a ton of cool people and I'd love for Sonar to do this again at some point, hopefully with more techno and less zef.
Afghan Whigs were amazing last night. That is all.

Sonar was good fun and all, but wow Disco Sucks was fucking awesome. Great music, great people, great vibe. Had a blast. Was that the Jel-O flyer Chris?

What are you even talking about? I am not sure how to be anymore concise and sincere than I already was, but I genuinely hope that you die in a fire.

Lots of good Ty Segall shows to chose from.
Bleached also got added to the El Rey show bill.
Oh shit. Ty Segall, Pangea, and Bleached at the El Rey. That is going to be a wild night, might have to hit that up. If you aren't familiar with Pangea, I urge you to check out their music. They are fucking sweet and always a good time live.
After selling out Radio City and two nights at Terminal 5 last month, he's coming back already?! I can't believe he's playing at BAM! Maybe I'll have to go this time around...

Madison Square Garden have cleared the way for a benefit concert on December 12 (12/12/12) to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. No artists have been announced thus far, but Clear Channel Entertainment, the Weinstein Company and the Madison Square Garden Company are all involved.. the same trio that organizied "The Concert for New York City" after the 9/11 that featured David Bowie, Jay-Z, Eric Clapton, The Who, Janet Jackson, Elton John, Paul McCartney and many many notable others. Stay tuned for updates.
Here's another chance to score some ticketsBy the way, Ronnie wants to say something...
Mick too...Wood said: "We've already spent a million on rehearsing in Paris. And the stage is going to be another few million. And the lights. We feel no bad thing about ticket prices. We've got to make something."
"I don't think there should be a secondary ticket market. I don't think it should be legal," he said. "To my mind, there has to be a better way of doing it, but we're living, really, with the way the system functions. We can't, in four shows, change the whole ticketing system. You might say, 'The tickets are too expensive' - well, it's a very expensive show to put on, just to do four shows, because normally you do a hundred shows and you'd have the same expenses.
"So, yes, it's expensive," he added. "But most of the tickets go for a higher price than we've sold them for, so you can see the market is there. We don't participate in the profit. If a ticket costs 250 quid. let's imagine, and goes for 1,000 quid, I just want to point out that we don't get that difference."The Rolling Stones have added a show on Saturday, December 8 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, marking the first U.S. date on ‘The Stones—50 and Counting’ celebration. Tickets are on sale Monday, November 19 at 10 am.
The rock icons will also play four sold out concerts to thousands of fans at London’s O2 Arena on November 25 and 29 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on December 13 and 15.
All ticket information is available at www.rollingstones.com
The December 15 show will be telecast live via pay-per-view at 9pm ET and is entitled “One More Shot”. It will be distributed by WWE, the world’s pre-eminent provider of pay-per-view programming.
