He sold his soul for a shot at fame
Catchphrase and wigs and the jokes are lame...
Only time I went to the Palladium was for Cut Copy and one guy was being a drunken douche before the show but left during the opener. The crowd was great.
I MAY HAVE TO CANCEL MY EUROPEAN TOUR DUE TO BANKRUPTCY & MY HEALTH STRUGGLE WITH ANGIOEDEMA. I HAVE NOT THROWN IN ANY TOWEL, I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT BEST I CAN DO. HEART BROKEN. WORKED SO HARD. GOT SICK DAY AFTER "SUN" CAME OUT & BEEN STRUGGLING TO KEEP ALL POINTS OF ME IN EQUILIBRIUM : MIND, SPIRIT, BODY HEALTHY CENTERED & GROUNDED. I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN. I FUCKING LOVE THIS PLANET. I REFUSE TO GIVE UP. THOUGH I MAY NEED TO RESTRATAGIZE FOR MY SECURITY & HEALTH.
Weird hearing all this about the Palladium. I don't think I've ever had a bad night there. Shows I've seen there include, Arctic Monkeys x2, Metric, Girl Talk, Pixies, LCD Soundsytem, and i'm sure a bunch others I'm not remembering at the moment. I've never dealt with douchey crowds or anything. Now the Club Nokia, uhhh I'd rather not get into that place.
The crowd was rather annoying at the Palladium last night. It was mostly just those few people that were drugged out and stoked on Halloween though.
Happy Halloween from Liars!
The heat, trapped between the band and the sheen of plastic behind them, is becoming a potential wrench in the shoot, and everyone hits their head on wooden ceiling beams at least once. LIARS hardly fit, but they make it work.
The group was initially hesitant to shoot in the attic of the Mission Theater. Frontman Angus Andrews has to bend his body forward the entire time he’s in the low sprawling space. But later, cigarettes in hand and necks turning along the building’s rooftop view of Portland, they decide to sacrifice comfort for the aesthetic.
“I’ve lived everywhere man,” says Aaron Hemphill prior to their first take, referring to a comment that the attic’s bizarre industrial feel compliments the buzz-saw synth of “Brats.” “It’s actually a comfortable space for me - not necessarily creepy.”
That adaptability showed. One of Portland’s hottest days amplified itself in the windowless floor above the projector room while LIARS were LIARS around the elements at play. “Brats” is a catchy, off-putting single that works by being memorably strange. But why this song over the rest of WIXIW, their latest album? Andrews responds against the expectation of revealing some insight: “It’s simple really. This one requires the least equipment to play.”
Second straight bad Palladium show I have been to. As everyone has pointed out - really douchey, drunk crowd. Felt like a lame college halloween party. Show before that was the xx which was the same drunkeness that resulted in people chatting the whole time. Doesnt work well with a band like the xx.
At least I know none of these are going to be a problem for Deftones there.
Who was just telling me that when some band finished their show they talked shit about the palladium management/crew in depth on their blog? Some boardie.
who was the band?
I want to say it was Cut Copy. Someone in the the last year or so.

Whoops! Meant to post that in the 2013 rumors thread, sorry. By the way, were you at the Queens of the Stone Age show in Pomona last year, getbetter? I just realized I may have met you.
