I went cheap and got balcony seats in the middle -- first row (behind the mezzanine), aisle seats. I AM SUPER EXCITED! Thanks again. I have been wanting to hear ANYTHING from The Fountain OST live for years and years!

St. Vincent and David Byrne were amazing tonight. General weirdness abounded for a duo like theirs, and it felt like the "Who" video the entire time. So fun. Sonically, every doubt I had about the album was blown away by the backing band, and their solo songs were only improved by the horn section. Very jealous of the Greek crowd tomorrow night.
Vampire Weekend (4/18) ~ Sigur Ros (4/19) ~ Old Crow Medicine Show (4/28) ~ Rolling Stones (5/2) ~ Born Ruffians (5/6) ~ Yo La Tengo (5/9) ~ Rhye (5/10) ~ Baths (6/28) ~ Latitude Music Festival (7/21) ~ End of the Road Festival (8/30 - 9/1)
The xx were just ok tonight. I don't love the new album, so that didn't help.
I thought the crowd where I was standing was terrible. The show was actually a little better than the Fonda, maybe cause the new stuff was more familiar and they had more experience playing it. 2:54 were awesome as usual, if you're going tonight make sure you get there in time to see them. Also, John Talabot was a nice surprise find.
May 21 - Youngblood Hawke - Observatory
June 2 - BRMC - Observatory
July 12 - Portugal. The Man - Witern
July 24 - Postal Service - Greek
Aug 9 - Grizzly Bear - Hollywood Forever
Sept 22 - M83 - Hollywood Bowl
Agreed. John Talabot was great.
Set times for David Byrne and St. Vincent tonight!
Doors 6
David Byrne and St. Vincent 7:30
No Opener
See you there
