I've been in it when I was a kid. It was an old school movie theater all seated. I still can't believe they are playing Visalia.

Not that i even want to go, but why does an intimate secret show have to be at the absolute shittiest small venue? That place cannot handle being at capacity, it was built by retarded people.

Not sure if anyone here would be interested in the gamble but there is an Obama fundraiser @ Nokia Theater on Oct 7. Limited amount of $44 tickets still available. TBA Musical Performance could end up being good or reeaallllly bad.

You mean in the way that you want them to play? Foster The People will go on before them! You will have your jizz fest.

No I strongly meant in the way that they don't play.

In response to Foster the People I have no desire to see them play a 50 minute set, especially since I doubt the new album will be ready considering they just started writing about a week ago.

Would be odd to have the cover band open up for the regular band no? But who knows. Record release midnight hour style be pretty cool.

Thank god Nas is headlining these shows...

"Life Is Good" is the name of Nas's most recent album, which debuted atop the Bilboard 200 in August, while "Black Rage" will be Hill's next single, arriving this fall. According to the tour announcement, Hill's single addresses the "derivative effects of racial inequity and abuse" and aims to be a juxtaposition to "life is good."

I saw Swans last night. Their music beat me up but I loved them for it.

Xiu Xiu was pretty intense. I had never heard anything by him before, sounded like a man in therapy on the verge of tears singing about all these traumatic incidents in his life.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

Not necessarily. Yeah, for something like when the Foo Fighters played there you did. But that's not always the case.

This Playa Del Carmen thing sounds awesome. I wanted to do Panama for new years and this being a week before.....fuck Jesus day in the US.

I should point out, though, that the actual venue that we have for Day Zero
is like nothing I’ve ever seen before in my life: it’s an as-yet unopened to the public Mayan theme park, so it has three pyramids, two lakes, four swimming pools. It’s as good as being in the real thing. We are going to have the stage in front of the main pyramid, and we are working with an incredible visuals company. We are going to be video-mapping onto the pyramids, and we have a lot of incredible surprises that will be awaiting people for the event. Basically the idea was to pull together the dream location, the dream lineup, dream partnerships, people that we love working with, to make this event something people have never seen before. It just kind of feels like the planets are aligning, and that’s exactly what is going to happen.
