JESUS CHRIST! if they can play hollywood bowl with the sound track of the Fountain, i would explode in my pants. I can die happy after encore and just roll down those stairs, dead. But i'll be happy. Gosh, i think i'd give a 2nd born for just Mansell doing a LA Phil thing at the Bowl.

Also as for upcoming shows, there's a Japan night @ the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. One of my favorite Japan Punk bands, Go!Go!7188 will be there, i highly recommend this band.

    here's a Youtube track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxD9ZZEA-HI

I'm going to see Grizzly Bear tonight at 8. I just heard them playing live on KEXP and I'm fucking excited.

It's good music to chill out to.

Odds are looking good in my favor to see the Williams/Spielberg/Scorsese show. John Williams is also playing a couple of similiar shows at the bowl this summer. Clint Mansell/Kronos Quartet/Mogwai would be hot at the Bowl.

    Update

    Neko Case 2/17
    A Sounds Eclectic Evening 6 (The Shins/Cold War Kids/Lily Allen) 4/14
Coachella Day 1 4/27 (partial small miracle happened)

I love Coachella because it offers the options of seeing Annathallo on May 2nd at Modified and Silversun Pickups on May 4th at the Clubhouse (!)

But I love Stagecoach more because Lucinda Williams is stopping here on May 4th on her way West. But I don't know because she is playing Celebrity Theatre. And tickets go on sale Saturday.

I don't like shows with assigned seats. I've managed to avoid them since the White Stripes at the Dodge in August 2005.

Any other Phoenix people wanting to go to this. I need to check how much tickets are. They go on sale on Saturday.

Also the above is not counting assigned seats for the Phoenix Symphony like for tonight. Mmm... some Shostakovich and also Beethoven's 7th symphony which is the one that kinda crystalized my love of classical music a decade ago.

Also, we get Explosions in the Sky on April 26th. Dare I see that show, drive to Indio immediately afterwards, and set up a tent at 2am at the Coachella campground? argh. I'm worried with Sunday conflicts, I may not get to see EITS at Coachella proper.

Yeah. And Placebo on the 27th but I'm not going to either show.

All other things being equal I'd like to see EITS but I don't know/like them well enough to do that which you describe. Even though I've got Thursday off from work so I could like get up around 3 pm and survive the trek.

I'd much rather start setting up camp 6-8 or whenever it is we actually get out there. Better choice of spots, better lighting, more time for relaxing.

They surprisingly put on a good show, the only annoying thing was whenever you see a southern california based band in southern california everybody in the crowd says they know one of the band members through one way or another, and frankly...that's annoying. I'm seeing them at the troub tonight as well, shame though, their not playing Coachella...also can't wait for Razorlight at the elrey on the 9th.

I saw Gomez and Ben Kweller at the Wiltern last night and it was a really fucking good show. I didn't expect much from Kweller and walked in about 15 minutes into his set, but he was really good. All of his songs are extremely catchy, they jammed a little bit, his voice was spotless, the band was having fun...really a good set. I need to listen to all his records now (I previously knew "Wasted But Ready" because I heard it on the radio in 8th grade and thought it was a Weezer song.) Really a good power-pop group.

Gomez was incredible. They played almost 2 hours, well over curfew, jammed without it getting boring, were spot-on musically, played part of "How Many More Times" by Led Zeppelin during "Hangover", and basically have made themselves my new obsession. Do not miss this band live, or this tour if it is still going. I paid $27 for the ticket and it was well worth the money. If I had the setlist I would have made an in-depth review thread.

Nice shots, what camera do you have? I will safely guess a Canon but odds are you got a Nikon.

Oh and back on topic, got my Police tickets for L.A. this morning, I hope everyone around me will not complain when Foo Fighters are on and I am the only one who knows the words...

Haha I totally asked the same question a couple days ago, because I was equally impressed with the quality of the pics. Although I'm not being very helpful because I can't remember the answer.
