There is a new one. Modest Mouse on cover. Best of ***6 and a ***7 ***view. I don't have a subscription yet so I go to a local B&N to get it. This one arrived within the last couple of days.

Rob Dickinson:
I'm not sure where else to post this. I'm definitely going to Rob D. this Friday (Scottsdale, AZ, Anderson's Fifth Estate). If any other Arizonans are going, I'm going to wear a Coachella shirt and I will try to get my husband to wear one too. We both wear glasses. I'm little, he's big, and we both have light brown hair. I'm not sure which Coachella shirt I will wear, but it will be brown, green, or blue colored.
Say hi if you see us. Thanks.![]()

Here in the phoenix area I'm going to see Of Montreal tonight, Sparklehorse at the beginning of February and then Deerhoof at the beginning of March.
ADVISE:
should i go to Asobi Seksu on Thursday night
or Girl Talk on Friday ?
First of all, go to both.
Second of all, if you have to choose one, Girl Talk is playing Coachella and Asobi Seksu is not. Bug, I'm telling you, Asobi Seksu were fucking incredible last weekend.
Deerhoof - GAMH
Of Montreal - GAMH
Mountain Goats - Independent
Ted Leo - GAMH

Are you pushing it out, you ******?
Oh my god I can't believe I'm going to be at the same shows as Raging Dave.
I also advocate going to both shows if you can. I've seen Asobi and Girl Talk and they were both good.
i can't really go to both
i'll try to make it to Asobi
RageDave, is that Deerhoof show the one with Hella opening?
moving units are playing this week. not too sure about it. curious, but dunno for sure if im going. the last show i saw was the festival they had after last years coachella at the queen mary. eh. not as much fun as i used to have at their shows. strange, because i used to really love them.
you're a back to the future
*based upon tedious fact checking.
I'm doing Carbon Leaf at Shank Hall, Milwaukee on Valentines Day (wife's a big fan), then Snow Patrol at the Rave April 5th.
Then Coachella, baby!

And yeah, I'm going to Rob D tonight too. I'm gonna wear my blue 2005 "polo club" coachella shirt over a long-sleeved stripey shirt. Say hi. I'm not an alias.![]()

Just ordered tix for:
The Hold Steady - March 6th in Baltimore
The Walkmen (with The Broken West opening) - March 9th in Baltimore
Still debating on Deerhoof on February 22nd in Baltimore.
Everyone, go see Deerhoof. They were so good on the first stop of the tour. Hella sucks.
I saw Of Montreal last night with Ariel Pink opening. It was pretty good, but the real reason I wanted to go to these shows was the fact that Enon was supposed to open. I'm bummed about that. Of Montreal are really fun live tho.
Yeah, so I did go see Rob Dickinson at Anderson's 5th Estate last night.
Locals Source: Victoria opened with an acoustic/keyboard set. I would be interested in hearing as a full band but I'm not sure I'm gonna go to a show specifically for that.
Rob played a little over an hour. He played several Catherine Wheel songs - "Heal," "Crank," "I Want to Touch You," "Delicious," "Black Metallic" and the encore, "Ma Solituda" - along with songs from his solo record and one new one.
I hung out with Henri/Vegasoasis and also met Amy/amyzz and her husband and Shawn (sp?)/downingthief. Yay.
Small version of a pic of his face:

"The End of the World" was Rob Dickinson's new song. I liked it. I bought his live CD but haven't listened to it yet. My husband told me it has "Eat My Dust You Insensitive Fuck" on it, which he did not play last night. Great show! I wish the whole band could get back together though. Even his solo songs really require an entire band.
And yeah, I finally met some people from the board. Yay!
