Funny though, I always thing of Priest and Iron Maiden in the same breath, as the two big British metal bands from the late 70s/early 80s. Maiden still sells out huge arenas worldwide, Priest seems to have lost quite a bit of their glimmer.
Maiden fans were always more hardcore than Priest fans. When I was in Jr High/early high school and hanging around the metal heads, if you liked Priest, you were kind of ok. If you were into Maiden, you were a real metal fan.

I definitely believe it. "Breakin' the law/breakin' the law/duh duh!" isn't quite as easy to get lost in and obsessed with as a 12-minute metal rendition of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Did anyone else have that PC game Ed Hunter? You got to walk around as Eddie fighting bad guys in levels that were made to look like the Maiden covers. So awesome.

El Rey was half empty for FB last night but damn that was a good show.

    A film and WARPAINT

    Sundance Next Fest.
Theatre At Ace Hotel. August 10. $25
    Link for tickets http://www.sundance.org/next/a-girl-...ight-warpaint/

From my understanding they're going to screen a film called A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and then warpaint's going to play after.

CoS isn't the most reliable source. Wait to see if anyone else picks up the story, although a hoax was started earlier this week.
