Ummm not really people were buying $100 tickets from secondary markets for the other two bay area shows which were way larger in capacity.

Yes, and that's also absurd. People are absurd idiots who will pay $250 for this show on the secondary market.

It was like $45-50 to see them at the Fonda a couple years ago, without the terrible new material and with Kim Deal. Did they suddenly have a surge in popuarity? What justifies these prices?

Prince at the troubadour was $100. Pixies at big sur is $130. There's def a disconnect here.

Well, there are more costs associated with playing in the middle of nowhere, too. But who really cares?

Wow last night Ben Klock took us on a journey. Played for 8 hours straight from open till close! He was set up right on that elevated area on floor where you first walk in and wasn't on stage. Thank you for making it more intimate like The Bunker parties! I don't even know if I can handle Nicole Moudaber's 8 hour set tonight

I regret not being able to go to the Bat for Lashes show in Big Sur last year. Those tickets were around $70. If Warpaint does one this year, that would be brilliant.

I was hoping for 2 hours at least. Venue was terrible for this kind of act though. It sold out but the crowd and the venue was just a wrong fit.

Lord Huron were very good. Second time seeing them. They do a great job taking a tune building around it with tons of percussion and emotion. I guess I could complain they're not exactly a band with "hooks" in their melodies. But it hardly seems to matter. The crowd ate it up. Me too.

Superhumanoids were a surprise. I'd see this band any time they played. They don't have a bass player and are very synth driven. It works.

Loved the Fonda as always and spent a few minutes inside the Blue Palms chatting with concert and non-concert folks. Glad to see the Palms bustling.

Glad you liked them, they are my favorite LA band. I saw you as I was walking out but didn't get a chance to say hi. The band has an EP coming out 3/11 that has a pretty great "March of Pigs" NIN cover. You can't go wrong with any of their releases though.

Four Tet was great last night. I was kind of discouraged when we all got to the Mohawk (show sold out) but ended up finding a good spot on one of the balconies. I was expecting the show to be another "just a thing to do on Saturday" a la Darkside but the crowd was super into it and Kieran looked genuinely humbled after he finished.

    Boris - 7/29 - The Mohawk
    NIN/Soundgarden/ - 8/14 - Austin 360

    Ty Segall - 9/5 - The Mohawk
Seth Troxler - 9/5 - Vulcan Gas Company

How dare you see me and not say Hi! Thanks for the recommend. I'll check it out. Very good night overall. Even scored a signed Lord Huron poster. My wife was there and she loved the entire show too. She was still talking about Superhumanoids today.

I had a snifter of the Avery Maharaja IPA

    http://averybrewing.com/our-ales/maharaja/

I liked it! A little alchy on the nose from being so strong (10.2%). But it was smooth and had good flavor.
