Youre underestimating the wallets of the HARD audience, which is who they are attempting to target. All the cheap seats will sell out, cause they can barely afford the $35. A decent portion of the top end seats will get sold to the older people who are being drawn in by Chic. Then re sellers, and some bros who have a little bit of money to burn. It should hopefully even out into a typical Bowl show in that the rich old folk are up front, and all the poor ass kids are in the back.

Ian MacKaye speaking @ NYU tonight 6:15pm
    721 Broadway
    New York University

Ian MacKaye does many things: singer, songwriter, guitarist, musician, label owner, and producer, amongst a myriad of other undertakings. Add to that list his role as accidental archivist of Dischord Records and the many bands of which he's been a member. In this informal discussion, he will discuss archiving/preservation and his approach to the various collections he's currently looking after. In particular, the evening will look at the Fugazi Live Series, a project that grew out of a MIAP thesis into a resource where much of Fugazi's aural and visual documentation is now available online.

This evening is presented as part of MIAP10, the Moving Image Archiving and Preservation program's 10-year anniversary celebration. Free and Open to the Public.

Why are you incapable of asking a question like a regular person having a conversation? Why does every fucking single post you make have to be some weird show promo? Yes, I'm aware of the shows going on in SF. Sometimes I choose to do other things with my time - you know, like a fully formed person with a variety of interests instead of some aspy scene kid.

Explain to me what you mean by weird show promo! Also if you think you're a fully formed person, you'll never make it out of Sunnyvale...
