The latest Russian Circles album was good, but The Ocean just fuckin' killed. Plus, Russian Circles is from the US and tours frequently, whereas The Ocean is coming over for the first time in (I believe) three years. Plus, The Atlas Moth is fucking destructively great.

Anyone seeing Crystal Method tonight at the El Rey. Apparently their first string of Live Dates. Should be a lot of fun!
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.

Well shit. Not sure there is much room for a Goldenvoice LA area show. It would have to either be before Coachella or on that Monday.

So I guess afterwards the festivals will return to the park?

Cloud Nothings played their new album from front to back last night at a small venue in Brooklyn.

No one had even heard 1 song, knows the name of the album, and didn't even know when it was coming out (they said April last night).

Badass experience. One of the loudest shows I have ever seen and they delivered an absolute blistering set. The new material was great. Dylan's vox were better and I don't know if it was a new drummer or not,
But he did a much better job keeping up with these even faster and heavier songs. Of note, they are a 3 piece now.

The crowd was completely into it and loving it. Really cool as no one knew anything about what was going to happen. Could have been a disaster and it was the opposite, really high hopes for the new record.

They played probably 5 new songs at Fun Fun Fun Fest in November and it was fantastic.

To actually answer your question, the last two years it's been the middle of, or toward the end of February that the Goldenvoice April schedule got released.

EDIT: I looked on Facebook, and the schedule was posted to Goldenvoice's facebook photos on February 25 last year.

Such a good show last night. I actually ended up on stage. But I had been waiting forever to see him live and he delivered. Watching him play really made me appreciate his guitar skills. So subtle but his guitar sounds dance all over the place. I wouldn't compare him to arial pink though. Ariel pink is fucking terrible.
My first real show of the year and its going to be hard one to top.

I don't know the band Heaven, but the other four on a Sunday night at the echoplex would be a great night of music.
