Anywhere between 3-5 songs is average, but some play as many as 8. When I went for Empire of the Sun they revealed the concert would be streamed on MySpace so it was a longer 8 song set. But some bands that aren't streamed play 8 song sets. 2 songs are for TV/Website and after that its up to the band how many extra songs they play.

I might have an extra ticket to Franz Ferdinand at the Echoplex tonight. Ill post in this thread in a couple hours if I do and first one to PM me gets it (100 posts minimum). Would be face value of course. You would have to be able to meet me at the Echoplex at 730.

Well, it also really depends on who whether whoever is in charge has a vendetta against drugs. If you have a Governor, or Mayor, or District Attorney, or County Sheriff that has a mandate that their territory is "tough on drugs," then that's what you're dealing with.

A more detailed article about the Fiona Apple/Blake Mills show/tour here.

I get kind of a bad feeling about this...first it seemed to be announced as a Fiona Apple tour, now it's a Fiona Apple/Blake Mills joint tour. I'd be kind of pissed if I shelled out the $$$ Disney Hall prices and they just fucked around with covers like it was a Largo set or something. The dude definitely has guitar chops, so I'm sure it'll still be good, I just think he might have been better as a somewhat anonymous member of her band, and not a co-headliner.

What if the band is named "Very special guests to be announced soon!" Just kidding.

I would name my band, "Special guest too big to announce!", that would get more people in.

I never trust the special guest aspect, people's idea of what a special guest is VARIES GREATLY!

They've been listing The Men and Iceage together on the Echo's site, so maybe they're specifically doing that show together (and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be at the Echo rather than the Echoplex, so maybe it's a special presentation.)

I guess they're playing 3 nights at BAM!!! First come for seatings?! I wonder how early people will start lining up....6 NYC area shows!!!!

Early next year, Wordless Music presents Neutral Milk Hotel over three nights at the BAM Opera House, for its first NYC shows in 15+ years. Performing will be the original lineup of Jeff Mangum, Scott Spillane, Julian Koster, and Jeremy Barnes.

Tickets for these shows will go on sale to the general public starting at 12pm EST on Friday, August 2, with a limited fan club presale the day before. Kindly note the following:

**To discourage scalping, all tickets will be available for WILL-CALL PICKUP ONLY, on the day of the show. Further, all tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and CANNOT BE EXCHANGED to someone else's name. No exceptions. (Sorry!)

**Customers are limited to FOUR (4) TICKETS PER ORDER. Anyone buying in excess of four tickets or discovered scalping on eBay/Craigslist will have their orders AUTOMATICALLY CANCELED.

**All tickets are GENERAL ADMISSION, and seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 7:30 PM each night, and show time at 8 PM.

Well they are known for their elaborate stage shows; perhaps it's for some weird, one-off idea Kevin has.
