And it looks like they're doing the Greek in Berkeley on the 21st as well. Don't see details on a full tour yet (though I may not just be looking that hard)

Wow. It looks like they are playing tiny venues this time around. The venue they are playing in Vancouver is half the size of the one they played last year.

They are playing the same venue in Phoenix that they played back in November. It was only about 1/4 full last time, I thought they would book something smaller after that.

The LA venue is a little bit smaller than the El Rey, but it's a better location for them, and hopefully they don't get fucked over with four great shows going on in one night like last time.

Still, everyone who chose anyone except Titus missed out on the best set I've seen from them, out of five sets over five years.

They definitely did not sell well last time. I saw them at the Irenic in San Diego in December (where they are again playing), and it was probably half full, and I doubt that place could even hold 400 people at capacity. The turnout was very disappointing considering how amazing the show was.

Yeah, I was really surprised by the low turnout. It was great seeing them on election night, though. Great show overall.

Tom is awful for not attending.

I lost interest in them after their first LP. When I caught them opening for Yo La Tengo last year, Titus Andronicus was abysmal. Titus had what? Three guitarists? Ira was making more noise by himself

Check out Screaming females and Grooms if you're into Titus. Both should be more successful than TA...

ps I will give it to Patrick for this. Pretty funny stuff...

The first album is the least of their three releases. If The Monitor doesn't connect with you, you should probably mail in your punk rock fan card, because you're out of the club.

I never listened to that record to tell you the truth. I stopped seeing them in 08 and just saw them again for the first time last December. They just didn't grab my attention like they did back then. But I'll remember all those fun sweaty shows they played with Abe Vigoda, Ponytail, the Mae Shi, The War On Drugs, Mika Miko, Black Lips, Fiasco, So So Glos and etc.

ps Patrick is a nice guy though. He snuck me into couple sold out shows at Shea Stadium since he practically lives there
