Thread: Upcoming Shows

The Robert Glasper Experiment at the Roxy on Thursday was amazing! Seriously so many talented performers, not least Robert Glasper himself but also a ton of guests (almost everyone who's featured on Black Radio, and also Chris Dave on drums for a couple songs). Plus I got to see a keytar, hell yeah. But seriously he played for 2.5 hours straight. Also Bobby McFerrin's son opened the show - he's on brainfeeder and does some really awesome freestyle beatboxing live.
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend

Yeah that show was cool too. I just recognized Lupe Fiasco as far as the guests. I was a lil disappointed because there was word of a HUGE lineup of special guests for that show in the form of Weezy, Common, and Snoop as well. Still cool to check out some live jazz though.

Justin Timberlake was a fucking blast tonight. The best sound I've ever experienced at the Palladium by a mile. Impeccable band, extremely tight hour and a half set. Incredibly impressive for it being their second show in however many years. Yes, Jay-Z and Timbaland came out for their respective songs. New songs were really good, sounds like this is going to be a straight-up soul album.

The new song Mirrors is not soul at all and sounds like 2 old N Sync songs mashed up by Timbaland, and about his wife....

He didn't play mirrors, so tallguy's comment about the show wouldn't include anything about mirrors.

Well this is interesting. That mysterious "Power Forward" show is on the same night same time same venue as a just announced Cold War Kids show. And that show is $15 as opposed to $100. Looks like whoever purchased tickets for "Power Forward" got ripped off big time

Cold War Kids on sale today at 10AM btw.

Speaking of incredible performers. Anyone have set times for JT? I know doors are 9. So I'm guessing 10 showtime w/ no openers.
It was an awesome show. I was chatting to a guy who was in town from PA who just happened to see the show listed and bought tickets for $100 each on Stubhub.

There were some people at the show wasted to comical proportions.
