I live in Perth, Western Australia. Tonight is the last show of their Aussie tour. If you are town hit me up as my wife has just decided not to come and I have a spare ticket. But I bet you are on the East coast ? Nobody ever comes to Perth.

If you guys like 65days & sleepmakeswaves I would recommend checking out Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving. They are local to Perth and along a similar vein but different enough to remain unique.

Anyone in Los Angeles been to Sound yet?

Three (long been one of my favorite DJ's) and Fur Coat are there on Friday and I was planning on checking it out. Still a little apprehensive due to the whole "from the folks who brought you Playhouse" thing...

Question: anyone stubhub a ticket for the Troubadour before? If so, will the venue check for the name on the ticket, and if its not your name on the ticket (stubhub) will they still let you in?

"New and old works on the program include Different Train, WTC 9/11, Sextet, Piano Phase, and Clapping Music."

Maybe Reich will himself perform on Clapping Music like at the Disney Concert Hall show last year? Anyway, I'm in.

BIG news from our winter home: The Antlers and synth-pop duo Chairlift will make their Walt Disney Concert Hall debut on April 19! This event is part of the LA Phil’s upcoming Brooklyn Festival, which examines the sonic contributions of New York’s most dynamic borough. http://laphil.com/TheAntlers
Not to mention if they book other shows with Brooklyn bands.

Last year when Bryce and Aaron curated Crossing Brooklyn Ferry at BAM, they had pretty much "special guests" each night....

    Day 1: The Walkmen/Zs/Sharon van Etten/Twin Shadow
special guests: David Byrne, Amanda Palmer & Blackfire Percussion
    http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archive..._brookl_1.html

    Day 2: St. Vincent/the Antlers/Tyondai Braxton/So Percussion/Buke & Gass/Sinkane

Day 3: Beirut, Atlas Sound, My Brightest Diamond, Caveman, Oneohtrix Point Never & DJ sets by Pat Mahoney and Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem)
special guests: Sufjan Stevens & "Phi Slamma Jamma" aka Arcade Fire's Will Butler, Jeremy Gara, Tim Kingsbury, and Richard Reed Parry playing a bunch of covers from the Ramones to the Rolling Stones

    Here's the setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/neuros...-3bdbbc44.html

They played for about 2 hours straight, with no talking. it was just straight-forward and intense! As you may have read, their shows are much more stripped down now - no visuals, and very limited lighting. I hadn't seen them before, but i really didn't really didn't feel like I was missing anything, the music really speaks for itself.

Thanks! I didn't know about the visuals. Bummer I can't believe they're playing Times of Grace and Through Silver though! Hopefully they'll keep those two on the setlist.

I can imagine... been wanting to see a show there forever. The weeknight commute from SD for shows can be killer though. We could be lucky and have it take 2 1/2 hours. Or be really unlucky and have it take 5 (that's happened before and I'm amazed we even got to the venue at all).
