Did anyone go to this show? Bob needs your help!!!

Last November at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, some of today's most influential artists gathered to celebrate the music of Bob Mould. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Britt Daniel (Spoon), Ryan Adams, No Age, Craig Finn and Tad Kubler (The Hold Steady), Margaret Cho with Grant Lee Phillips, and Jessica Dobson (The Shins, Deep Sea Diver) all performed songs from Bob's historic catalog. Until now, only the 2,265 concert attendees have seen these amazing performances. Fortunately, the entire evening was captured in stunning audio and high-quality video quality by filmmaker Justin Mitchell.

Starting today, we are launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring this amazing footage to life. Justin and his camera crew followed Bob and the other artists meticulously throughout their day catching the rehearsals, preparation, interactions — and of course the night’s unforgettable performances. Not only will the campaign fund this film, but it also offers Bob's fans exclusive Kickstarter products such as a limited edition 7-inch single, a commemorative t-shirt, and a silkscreen print set. Additional products and information are featured below.

It's been there from the beginning.. the weak Britpop headliners Friday; the rumors that DP was gonna play, that it was a done deal, then all of a sudden 'oops, no, not gonna happen'; and now the new album. It's all so obvious.

How not one LA person mention the incredible 3 nights of Gary Clark Jr. at the Troub that just happened? 2 full hours of pure shredding blues and soul. Dude is dare I say on his way to Prince Level of guitar playing. Makes everything look so easy. Talked to his tour photog/friend about possible Coachella return and he said they want him come back and have asked. So here's to hoping an Outdoor Sunset in the Weeknd slot is in order.

I was at the Troubadour for Tuesday night's show, thanks to Tallguy. Without a doubt one of the best live shows I've been to in a long time. Such a pleasure to see a show like that in a small venue.

I'm hoping Lianne La Havas will be as enjoyable at The Roxy tonight.

It might be a bit early to start thinking about December shows, but I'll be giving away a pair of tickets for The Polyphonic Spree's 10th Anniversary Holiday Extravaganza at the Fonda on Dec 6th through UCLARadio and I would love a boardie to win.

If you want to enter, all you need to do is go to my show's FB page at https://www.facebook.com/UCLAShowTalk and like the giveaway post. Super easy. The winner will be announced next Wednesday. There usually aren't a ton of entrants for these contests, so everyone will probably have a damn good chance to win. Bmack can attest to that as he won Titus tickets a couple weeks ago.

    Vampire Weekend (4/18) ~ Sigur Ros (4/19) ~ Old Crow Medicine Show (4/28) ~ Rolling Stones (5/2) ~ Born Ruffians (5/6) ~ Yo La Tengo (5/9) ~ Rhye (5/10) ~ Baths (6/28) ~ Latitude Music Festival (7/21) ~ End of the Road Festival (8/30 - 9/1)

So has anyone been to these Lure patio events yet?

Planning on going to see Penguin Prison and The Twelves before Green Velvet tonight and wondering what kind of headaches I have ahead of me...

Would also be helpful if I could find some goddamned set times for that one... (though with GV going on at 1:30, I feel we shouldn't have too many issues WRT timing)
