Awesome. I was hoping they'd play Coachella. Now do they play the Outdoor or Main stage?

There are a lot of options, but there is an outdoor lot on El Centro between Selma and Sunset on the east side of the street that is usually only $5.

EDIT: El Centro is the street on the west side of the theater, btw.

Also, if you're get there close to, but after 6pm, the street parking on the east-west running streets is 2 hour parking until 8pm, so if you're there right after 6pm you can snag a spot on Selma pretty easily and just pay a couple bucks in the meter.

I'm not sure about that lot that i specifically mentioned, but a lot of lots do raise their prices incrementally as it gets later in the night.

Thanks, Drinkey. I was thinking about staying at a hotel nearby for free parking and then walk there, but the hotel prices are jacked up.

If you stay at a hotel on the Red Line, you can take the train to the venue. But parking right next to the venue will be jacked up because of Book of Mormon at the Pantages.

Another option would be to get a hotel somewhere else that is along the red line, then you can take the subway for $1.50 each way. The Hollywood/Vine stop is just a block and a half west of the venue.

EDIT: TheClaw beat me to it. FYI i parked at that lot I was talking about on Friday for the Afghan Whigs show no problem for $5. it's a bit out of the way for most of the Pantages theater goers, they usually get swept up by another lot before venturing that far south.

Does the Book of Mormon have afternoon show times? I really don't want to take public transportation because I am afraid I will get confused. Remember who you're talking to here.

Book of Mormon is at 8pm during the week.

The subway system is extremely easy to use. i'd be more than happy to explain it to you in great detail by pm or whatever if you wanted. You could probably get a place much cheaper like a mile east of the venue or even in North Hollywood or something and it would be very simple to take the train 1-3 stops with no transfers.

Then just go and park for $20. Sometimes that LA fitness right by the venue is cheaper, say $10. You won't find street parking since the meaters all go to midnight on the weekends.

Got a pit ticket to Soundgarden at the Wiltern! I love it when the Wiltern actually sells GA Pit tickets so I do not have to waste my time waiting in line to get a wristband.

This isn't true actually, as i stated above. it is for the north-south street, but not all the east-west streets. You just have to get there on the early side and look around a bit.

Amy, do the metro. It's so easy to figure out, you walk two blocks to get to the Fonda, and, as Drinkey said, if you stay in North Hollywood you could probably find hotels cheap and nearby. Check Universal City for that.

That's great about Azari & III tomorrow at Dim Mak!

So is it true Dirty Projectors and Apache Relay are opening for Mumford tonight?

Also, does anyone know if they are going to be honoring the old tickets at the new Morrissey date??

    Thanks!
