i cannot fucking believe those barbara shows sold out. those are the msot expensive tickets i have ever seen.
Oh man, just having to sit through the openers, Il Volo and Chris Boti would make me want to hang myself even before Barbara took the stage.

Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Nocturnal Wonderland Saturday, Cut Chemist/Dj Shadow - Palladium, Massive Attack SB Bowl, Festival Supreme, Coachella 2015
I saw the Black Keys tonight and it was very mediocre and stale. A few of the songs were cool live but overall the set seemed flat and the band just wasn't that into it. Def one of the least impressive shows I have seen all year.
In what has to be one of the more pleasant surprises of this year so far, Ariel Pink was absolutely fantastic tonight at the Fonda. Short but sweet, 47 minute set with no encore. Not sure if it was just an on night or whether they've really figured out how to perform well live...the instruments were extremely loud, and Ariel's voice was washed in reverb and fairly low in the mix. All but one song were from the past two albums, concluding with a really free-form take on Nostradamus & Me...a bit of a mess, but they really took the ball and ran with it and pulled it off well overall. This could very well be the best show I ever see from him/them, so glad I went tonight.
And the short AP set worked perfectly for booking it down to the King King right after for Max Cooper, we got there only about 10 minutes into his fantastic, fantastic set.
don't miss ariel pink tonight at the eagle rock fest! he is the special guest on the stones throw stage with Dam Funk. they will be performing together!
Where's the best place to park for shows at the Greek? Just got an email saying there will be no unstacked parking, so I'd rather not park at the venue.
Just get stacked parking and learn to smoke a lot of pot before you go into a concert. Make sure not to listen to the artist you are seeing, nor should you be wearing any articles of clothing related to the band you're about to see.
Don't smoke pot? Well then fucking start.
I agree with parking on Los Feliz and walking up. it's a steep hill, but it's only a 10-15 minute walk, and it's really nice walking down at the end of the night and skipping that crazy bottle neck traffic coming out of the lots.
Also, I must disagree with Omar about the The Black Keys last night. it was my first time seeing them, and I'm only a casual fan, but I thought they were great. Also, it was the first time I'd been on the floor at Staples and was surprised how easy it was to get up right next to the stage. i was probably 30 feet back, and it was easy to forget I was in a huge venue, it felt like I was seeing them at the Fonda or something. Tegan and Sara were very, very good too (though one of them was having some vocal issues, it sounded like she might be getting sick). i am a big fan of theirs though. They played a lot of material from The Con, and a couple new songs.
12/4/14 - Angel Olsen @ El Rey // 12/10/14 - Tune-Yards/Cibo Matto @ Wiltern
Did The Black Keys play all their songs faster than on record? That really bothered me at Coachella.
Live stream from Night #8 in Brooklyn for Hova!
More Muse dates, including an LA show.
Also the rumor is Band of Skulls is opening at least the West Coast dates.

They play some faster, yes. Not all. They don't ramp the speed up and down inconsistently inside each song though. Last night was a lot fun, and Tegan and Sara surprised big time. Was 4 or 5 rows of people back dead center and with Pat's drum kit being so close to the front of the stage it was totally like seeing them in a small little club during their songs but when they would finish one I was pulled back into the giant room that is Staples Center. All of the songs on El Camino are a ton of fun but I wish they would leave Brothers alone a bit more than they do. When its just the two of them on stage is still the highlight of their shows, each of the three times I've seen them. Great crowd on the floor and I really like how Staples' security had everyone sit down while we waited before the opener. Kept a lot of breathing room once we got up.
I was there last night as well. Got to the arena late, after Tegan and Sara, still ended up about 10 back on Pat's side. Really made it seem intimate. I thought they were better than at Coachella and yes, the highlight was just Dan and Pat. Loved the El Camino songs live, especially Little Black Submarines.
Looks like plenty of room for a 2nd Muse show at Staples the next night.
SD show is on MLK day. I think most people get work/school off for that still, right? Are you still going to see them or is the MuseRadio name going to be retired soon?
Yup, though the NBA schedule might put a kink in that. THere's a game on the 24th, so the 2nd show would actually need to be the 22nd, the day after Gaga's 2nd night. Though they could still go to Anaheim later that week.
