Wow haha. Jack White played for under an hour (with all male band) and left the stage with no encore. Crowd waited for about 20-30 minutes afterwards to see if he would come back....people were pissed! By the way, Jack told the crowd in the beginning, "Jesus Chris, is this an NPR convention?" haha so maybe he was pissed off from the beginning! I heard from someone that he wasn't happy with the sound but from where I was sitting, it sounded great!

ps Neil young & crazy horse rocked!

If anyone wants to see Wilco at the Bowl tomorrow, I'll sell my $50 tickets at $30 each. Section J2. I just really need to get rid of them.

I think face value was anywhere from $50-$100 with ticketbastard charges. We paid a scalper $25 outside when we got there though. I saw people returning his merch after the show haha. It was really unexpected that he left the stage like that but I bet he'll play for close to 2hrs tonight! (He came on around 9:10 last night with 11pm curfew).

We spoke to multiple people who claimed Mr. White had several angry exchanges with a shirtless man in the front row. They said the man who provoked Mr. White’s ire was subsequently removed by security. Others claimed Mr. White shouted something before leaving the stage.
Eventually, a member of the Radio City security team provided us with an answer.

“He wasn’t happy with the sound,” the man said when we asked if he knew why the show seemingly ended so early. “I don’t know why he pulled that.”

Question. Coming from K-town what is the most efficient method of getting to the Hollywood Bowl tonight (cab? shuttle? driving and parking? parking and taking shuttle?)

Park and Ride is the way to go. Then you do not have to worry about traffic/congestion around the Bowl itself.

Just checked and park and ride is not an option. My girlfriend gets off work at 6, which is after, or right when, all the shuttles are leaving so it looks like I am driving. Where is the best place to park?

edit: I guess I am going to park at hollywood and highland and ride the shuttle up.

edit 2: Are doors at 7, or will Joanna go on then?

Not that bad if you do it right.

Mormon Church has non stacked parking for $15-20 bucks - I usually park here, its not too long of a walk to the bowl and when you're exiting, instead of highland, make a right on franklin to la brea and free yourself from congestion right there.

Adam, if you're coming from K-Town, take the metro to the Hollywood/Highland stop and just walk up. $3 per person for a both way trip and then you don't worry about driving or parking.

Thank you. I just mapped this out and it is fairly straightforward. When I transfer from purple to red metros do I need to buy another pass or get a transfer ticket or anything?

Technically, you are supposed to buy a transfer, but to do that you need to go upstairs.. It would be easier to just buy a day pass.

How does one get into the Boiler Room anyway? Do you have to basically know someone or what?
