The Boss was absolutely incredible at Fenway. 3 1/2 hour show, got Atlantic City & Because The Night back to back which absolutely blew my mind considering those were the two songs i wanted to hear most...DEFINITELY going to at least the SD & Oakland shows when he heads West this winter.

Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan
September 28 & 29, 2012
On sale now.
Not sure what the "blink20" shows entail, but theres been a big emphasis on their 20th year. And they started playing Dick Lips and Wasting Time and those kind of songs again. Anyways, looks like a fun venue for them it being GA and all. Yeah yeah, I care.
Sarcasm? From the looks the pool is covered up... Never been though. I'm sure there's the normal level of Vegas comping etc but this looks like a fun spot.

well yeah, obviously. but the concert itself will be in Club Nokia.
I'm just curious as to who the special guests might be... I was expecting Frank to be on the lineup. But whatever, this is the first time Earl and Tyler will be performing all the classics in LA, and that's more than enough for me.
6/2 - Bjork - Hollywood Palladium
6/5 - Cut Hands - The Void
6/11 GZA - Porter's Pub
6/12 - Casey Abrams - The Griffin
6/13 - Cold Cave - The Void
6/19 - ZZ Ward - Birch Aquarium
i just had the worst concert experience ever at the Cosmopolitan pool for Bloc Party/Santigold. From the line to get in (1 hour), the technical difficulties due to rain which led to a late start (Bloc party started at 11:30, instead of 10) and Santigold canceling (was supposed to start at 9), then not canceling (ended up going on at 1am), and zero announcements about all of it. Top that off with $15 drinks ($12 Dos Equis, wooooo!!), it would take Garbage performing v2.0 in it's entirety to get me back to that venue.
Also they don't cover the pool, they drain about half of it (maybe they drain more based on ticket sales?), but you're actually standing in the part that slopes at a slight angle. Because the pool area is huge, you're can't actually see the stage unless you're in the area in front of it. House left borders the strip and house right is blocked by the walkway upstairs, so anyone near the pool entrance has to content themselves with just listening.
At first I was also hesitant because Club Nokia is one of my least fave venues in LA. But, the option to get PIT for any extra $10, couldn't pass that up. Plus like you said Earl and the whole gang together at last. How many complete OFWGKTA (including Earl) shows have there even been?
How big is the pit there? seems the ultra #vip package which there's 200 of all include pit passes, while me and my friends snagged the last 4 on TM for just an extra $10. I can only imagine a packed pit there + Trash Talk = Complete Mayhem.
I have to think Frank Ocean is one of the "special guests". He'll be well rested since he just cancelled all those euro festivals and the opening slot for the Coldplay tour, replaced by Charli XCX (who was excellent at the Troub last night btw)
Concert Schedule
6/23 Iron and Wine - First Unitarian Church
7/3 Eric Prydz - Create Nightclub
7/28 Jay Z/JT - Rose Bowl
8/9-11 OSL SF
10/16 Atoms for Peace - Hollywood Bowl
10/17 Atoms for Peace - SB Bowl
11/16 NIN - The Joint LV

I personally llike the club nokia because once you're in the pit you're pretty much guaranteed a good spot. The pit doesn't stretch too far back and I've been fortunate enough to not experience sound being lost
Blink-182 w/New Politics & Atlas Genius September 18 @ SB Bowl
Thirty Seconds to Mars October 12 @ Hollywood Bowl
I would have only bought the standard ticket for the Odd Future show but then I saw that you could get 3 tacos for only an extra $200 dollars.
The pool area at the Cosmo is not a great place to see bands and yes the booze is over priced (they sometimes let you leave and come back so I go and drink and come back) I like the free shows in the Book and Stage and the pay shows in the Ballroom better. Also, as far as I know they don't allow you in the pool (at least at the many shows I've been too unless they have changed the rules).
And they don't inform you of anything and the security is pretty much useless. They don't do anything. I got hit in the head by some drunk that they let bring in a hula hoop. First of all, they shouldn't allow people to bring in hula hoops and secondly if they are hitting people because they are too wasted to control themselves they should at least take the hula hoop away for the duration of the show. I told security for safety that they should hold the hula hoop so nobody gets hurt and they said they would only do something if they hit more people.
Trash Talk better do a headlining show somewhere else in LA the night before Club Nokia.
Am I all by my lonesome at Shiner tonight? You guys are missing out.
Also I got some Hives tix for the show in Santa Ana next month. See you there if you're there.
Definitely! You should come to a free show on Wednesday as well
