Thanks Jorge. Just got the email too. I'm thinking the pit and first few rows in Sect A are the $75 variety? Or will all Sect A be $75?
Tycho| Coachella 2013| Austin Psych Fest| Psycho de Mayo| Tame Impala| Black Rebel Motorcycle Club| Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers| David Byrne & St Vincent| Capitol Hill Block Party| Godspeed You! Black Emperor| Godspeed You! Black Emperor| Devotchka| The National| FYF Fest
Unfortunately with tiered pricing at the Greek, i've always seen all of section A (and sometimes B!) have the same price. I've never seen the same section with different prices, so $75 is either only pit or pit + all of A or pit + all of A + all of B.
I really wish i knew how they determine that because the last row of Section B should never be the same price at front row of Section A (same with tiered pricing at places like Gibson, Verizon, etc...)
If it's really $90 after fees for Section A, fuck that.
Thanks.
Anyone have a pw for the PiL pre-sale tomorrow?
Edit- I am signed up for GV emails. Just haven't seen one yet for this show.

I saw GZA do Liquid Swords at Pitchfork years ago, and it was a really good set. Not great like Public Enemy going through either of their classic albums, but he was really focused and totally showed off his mic skills. And he had a really good limited posse with him.
Alt-J was nothing short of incredible last night at the Echo. Reminded me on the level of Wu Lyf or Of Monsters and Mens LA debuts. Incredibly tight band. It did help that the soldout crowd was prob the best looking crowd I've ever seen at an Echo show. Tons of cute girls totally into it and dancing away (not bumping into others). I just recently discovered them a couple wks ago but somehow most of the crowd knew every word of every song and the band fed off the energy. Expecting big things from these dudes in the very near future.

Why would you have? This might be the first time you hear about somebody a year early, instead of asking why they got high billing at coachella.
What? The album came out months ago. i don't even know what that comment is supposed to be implying. Do you not see how many records i listen to and talk about every year?

I've read his post over multiple times. It still makes no sense
I am so ungodly excited for this, I never thought I would be able to see this dude, especially not in my city. Not that any of you will care about thes particular shows, but some of you may care that there is a good probability for more of these shows coming next year to a different city.

edit: What personal space? You're at a sold out concert. Get over it.
Because songs like "Fast As You Can", "Not About Love", and "Tymps" aren't up tempo and have rhythm? We weren't moshing, to be honest we were hardly even shaking any booty 'cause I'm all too familiar with the LA crowds incessant need to look cool and not express themselves. Trust me, I know how to find the right mood. I'm not a jackass jumping around during every song, but there are definitely times to move a little. Oh yeah, and how often does Fiona play? Every 5-7 years eh? Soak it up. You think she's happy to see thousands of stagnant bodies with blank stares on their faces? Musicians do prefer to see their audience enjoying themselves.
On another note, Tenacious D's giant Fenix sent out a load of cum-fetti at the end of their show at The Wiltern. Absolute glory!

"It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge"
Fiona Apple really doesn't seem like dancable music to me, but whatever. I'm more concerned that she's not playing enough of the new album on this tour. when she really should be. This thing is fantastic.
