The Offspring will perform a special show on May 3 at Alex's Bar in Long Beach, CA. The bar holds just a couple hundred rowdy folks like yourself and for this special occasion The Offspring will perform their Ignition album in its entirety along with new and classic songs. It's the 20th anniversary of Ignition, the band's first release on Epitaph Records. We're hoping this show does better than Ignition's initial record release party in Fullerton in 1992 - that only drew 25 diehard fans.

So how do you get tickets?
On Wednesday, April 25 at 10:00 AM Pacific an entry form will appear on the lower half of this page. The entry form will enable you to enter a lottery for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the show. It will be open until 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 26. On that date randomly selected entrants will be notified of their opportunity to purchase two (2) tickets during a limited time window, only sold in pairs. Tickets are $25 plus fees. If any tickets remain after that window, another group of randomly selected entrants will be notified of the opportunity to purchase tickets and so on until the ticket allocation is exhausted.

He's playing LA on October 12th with the ISAM setup, so I am sure SD will get it too. You could always just call the HOB box office and ask.

Starting tonight @ the Stone (non-profit experimental/avant-garde space), Mr. Sakamoto will be curating/performing for the next 6 days. I haven't been there in awhile but the capacity is between 50-75 people so get there early!

Yep the place near St. Marks in E. Village (http://poetryproject.org/program-cal...a-benefit.html). Thurston plays these small ny gigs couple times a year so I try to go whenever he's in town.

ps Whoops! Totally forgot Sakamoto residency started last night haha. My brain is still recovering from Coachella this weekend so I can make it tonight. I'll let you know how it went!

Unless the venue has drastically changed in the last few years (last time I was there was for Yazoo in 08... which was disappointing, but not due to the venue) I can easily say I've been to much worse spots... so it is what it is.

And based off the way they've talked about this tour, I wouldn't really count on a second show.
