We tried to do our 60s collaborative list, and it failed through the slow weight of attrition. I am firmly convinced that the 70s will not collapse under the same apathy, due in large part to the wider breadth of great albums that were released in the era.
Mitch's goals for this general thread are great, and I highly recommend reading his post concerning the plan for the 60s list. What I would enjoy to do here is to continue this plan, but in a more loose, free-wheelin' and drunken way, just like the 70s. So we don't necessarily have a deadline for introducing lists, those lists can change at will, and the bigger thing I'd like to do is to start some discussion on what was good (and great) in the 70s, and what wasn't. So let's get to it, kids!
